Nets sign Kamari Murphy & Tahjere McCall

We just waived Senglin, Mitchell and Doyle last night.
Miami head coach Jim Larranaga praised Murphy for his efforts.
“He is an outstanding defender and rebounder. He can guard one through five. That’s how quick he is.”
“Davon Reed and Kamari Murphy, two of the best leaders I’ve ever had, and they’ve done it by example, by how hard they practice every day, the consistency of their effort and execution.”
“I believe Kamari Murphy should have been the ACC Defensive Player of the Year. That’s how good I think he is defensively. He didn’t even make the All-Defense team.”

is this for the G league? Don't we have to get down to 17 by 10/16? Nets also have first shot at waived players

Strange thing is, how come Jake Wiley didn't get to play in the preseason?

For some reason I read "Kamari Murphy" as "Troy Murphy" and immediately cursed up a storm as I remembered that the pick that wound up being Draymond Green was sent by the Nets to the Warriors in the Troy Murphy dump of 2011...

Garbage like that doesn't faze me. Neither does the Lillard pick. We were never gonna draft Green or Lillard with those picks. Green wouldn't have developed into the player he is today if he was drafted into our **** culture. We would've picked TRob over Lillard too, and we all saw what TRob became.
If Kuzma keeps playing like the steal of the draft, I won't be mad about trading that pick either. I don't think we would've taken him.

I need to get used to modern terminology. My memory of being waived was that the player could get picked up by any other team by reverse record strength, waiver usage history, or something along those lines.

I'd have yo double check I think there was interest in Green, but you're right about Pillars.
And lol @ Kuzma as steal of the draft, don't buy the hype. Kuzma can't rebound or defend... His style of play is perfect for summer league and preseason.
