Crabbe starts. LeVert to bench. RHJ is in the lineup (so far) tonight.

Are we not starting a thread to make predictions for next ten games?. Too depressing? :o

I'm going to stay optimistic - there is no way the team wins unless they play team ball so we will find out how motivated they are to win

I can't front, I like the way Denver runs their offense. I am a Mike Malone fan, too, so watching his teams have always been an interesting watch for me.

With that said- defensively when Brooklyn played them last time the Nets made Denver's offense look more fluid than usual. Hopefully, Brooklyn plays a little better defense this time around, but it may not happen with RHJ questionable to play.

Just want them to compete and keep competing during this road trip, and continue to build that chemistry & confidence.
OKC Thunder fan, too.

Denver at home is ever an ugly beast, we are in b2b and without RHJ, Allen and Booker

I'm happy if we defend and make effort like against Suns and lose of a few points...

DEFENSE. Play aggressively and physically. Zeller was in there last night at least pushing back and boxing out. He should play more than Mozgov imo. I don't expect much but I expect effort before anything else.

MOVE THE BALL.

Get Russell and Harris on the floor together early and often.

Tough game. WOuld be really surprised if they were to win tonight. Just hoping for a competitive game.

LeVert earned some goodwill with his defense last night, so I'll take it easy on him tonight... but man, the guy desperately needs a few of those shots to go in.

well the first 10 games were very encouraging.

.400 win percentage despite Lin going down game 1 and injuries to carroll, booker, RHJ, and allen in that span.

happy with the first stretch. guys looking good other then maybe levert

like last year you will see an arch were young guys play less early and veterans more early and have that flip as the season goes.

last year we had booker and foye starting with scola big minutes off the bench. later in the year RHJ/Levert starting and scola became a DNP fixture

its good to make guys earn it and earn it in big samples. cant just flip things on a few games

We’re 2nd in PPG, 15th in ORTG and 20th in DRTG. Despite losing Lin, Allen, Book, etc. We’re going to be alright as long as our wing guys play two way basketball. Zeller seems competent at C for now.

Huge improvement from last season. We were like 20th in every stat on O and D.

We started last season with Bennett/Yogi and ended up with Dinwiddie/Acy. A lot can happen mid-season.

I agree - happy with first stretch too

The next set of ten games looks really tough - almost all playoff teams - including top teams like Celtics, Warriors, Rockets, Cavaliers. Jazz and Nuggets are weakest teams they will face.

Will be a different kind of challenge for the team. I am just happy if they maintain their core principles and play as team. Wins are just icing in this next stretch IMO

we are:

18th in pace adjusted scoring
23rd in pace adjusted points allowed
21st in FG% against
20th in 3PT% against
20th in pace adjusted rebounding
5th fewest pace adjusted turnovers
24th in TS%

still a ways to go on both ends. Consistency is our biggest issue... which is expected with such a young team that lacks legit 2-way talent. But its a decent starting point for sure

DLo/LeVert/Crabbe/Carroll/Moz is the likely lineup tonight. Whitehead/Dinwiddie/Harris/Acy/Zeller as the bench unit.

Afro, Booker, RHJ are all officially out.

I try not to post about JLins absence because whats the point

But damn I miss him when the team is running fast breaks sometimes. The guys are learning but not near level of Jeremy yet in these

When I remember him racing up court and giving Crabbe an outket pass for very open 3 - Gargh. Basketball gods better make damn sure he comes back full strength

Return to Brooklyn Nets
