I don't know if he is a bad teammate. He got stripped of his captaincy last season after he got caught tripping a player and had a meltdown on the bench in public view from what I recall.

I think his maturity should definitely be scrutinized. Like I said when Russell came in here, not every Nets player needs to be a choir boy. Russell has an edge to him but so far he hasn't been a bad kid at all. Having an edge to your character isn't necessarily a bad thing. How coachable are you, how do you get along with teammates, how willingly are you to learn and how hard you play are the things that matter the most.

That makes Boston, Atlanta and the Raptors all having their best years in a long time when we have their pick.

I think Cleveland & San Antonio will pass the Raptors by season's end, but I also see Orlando improving by at least 4 or 5 slots making the 2nd rounder less valuable.

I think we should target a PF. We really don't need anymore guards unless the prospect is a can't miss pick.

Some sort of stretch front court player. I don’t care if they’re a 3, a 4 or a 5.

But I’m also a big supporter of taking the best player available.

My way too early perfect fit draft crush that we have no chance at getting is Jaren Jackson Jr. We'd need at least a top 10 pick, if not top 5, to land him. Save for LeVert, I don't think there's anyone on this roster that could even sniff a top 10 pick.

Are we at the point where we start looking to package these 2 picks to move up on the draft? Or start looking at Euro stash picks? In terms of young guys we have:

Russell, LeVert, Dinwiddie, Stauskas, RHJ, Allen, Okafor. You can throw Crabbe in there too.

We were badly in need of picks and young guys before - but we've done a decent job of getting it back to normal team status.

Trading up with multiple picks in the same draft is rare in the NBA. Adding the 2nd rounder may move you up a spot or two if the teams ahead of you are even willing.

I'd rather keep the two picks and stash euro players. We have one of the biggest and best scouting team in the league and I'd rather keep as much assets as much as possible. Only way we move up is if a of another under the radar player like how Caris LeVert fell to us happen once again.

Clippers?

http://www.nba.com/nets/news/kenyon_040715.html

The breakdown of the future picks acquired by the Nets includes: Clippers 2005, protected 1-14 or 2006, unprotected

Clippers 2006 record - 47-35

First winning record in 13 years, the year the Nets owned their unprotected first round pick. Guess it didn't matter though, 3 lotto picks ended up Nets at one time or another anyway (Bargnani, Sheldon Williams and Foye).

I never even thought about this because as I remembered the pick went to Toronto as part of the VC trade. Still though, so much irony.
