Secure The Bagley
Bad For Bamba
Losing For Luka
Putrid For Porter
Awful For Ayton

ONE MORE YEAR

lets focus on the later round prospects. there is zero reason for there to be posts about lottery picks in this thread. lets talk about the guys that we can land with the Raps picks.
Mo Bamba should not be mentioned here. lets be real and focus on our team instead of dreams. the boston celtics will probably end up with mo bamba.
let's talk REALISTIC draft talk here with what we can get with Toronto's 1st and 2nd. time to be serious folks.

Had to do it for the final time. Feels good man. Won’t ever see that clown face ever associated with our draft selections again after this one.
In terms of the talent we should be scouting.
Ethan Happ
PJ Washington
Isaac Bonga
Hamidou Diallo
Brian Bowen
Mitchell Robinson (skipping NCAA)

there's a rule w/ these college players.
First thing is look at shooting form off the screen.
Second, footwork.. is it slow but still correct, never judge their speed in college. Nutrition is not the same.
Third, do they do the basics, pass when the double comes, awareness on the screen, help defend, box out, use their wing span to protect the ball, close out, even attempting to close out is a skill that needs to be seen.
Lastly, can they finish in the paint. So simple, yet something people keep negating.
Now search for the college players.

You guys should look up Dzanan Musa. Kids a lengthy 6'9 european scorer. I know people on this board thought very highly of Kurucs last year, well this kid is BETTER and is projected around where our pick could fall as well.

Saw him. Impressive jumpshot off the jab step. Plays for contact, which I like. But 18 yrs. old, he might want to stay in the Euros.

That’s a good thing though. Draft him and stash him. More roster spots for reclamation projects

We can afford a stash since we already have that other kid set to come over here

We need a wing that can score and get to the hoop. We havent plenty of shooters. outside of Russell we dont have scorers unless Levert develops into one and he is probably better suited as a 6th man being so versatile.
I dont like Diallo. More name recoginition/hype then substance. reminds me of fab melo who everyone wanted cause of name recognition and what people though of him as a junior in HS not what he was at the time of the draft.
Bruce Brown is the guy id look at. i saw him play as a high school kid in VT. solid year last year. he can really get to the rim. super high motor reminds me of donovan mitchell a bit
Also love Deng Adel of louisville... plays bigger then his high, nack for getting to the rim and competes on defense.

that said i do like musa alot, but he seems like a lock lottery pick no?

I wasn’t a huge fan either and of course on draft night we still would’ve taken Allen and at the worst Anunoby.
I haven’t seen him projected to go in the lottery actually. Every mock I’ve seen so far has him in the 17-22 range, which is ideally where our pick will land even though it’s currently 25.
But of course it is absurdly early and you can guarantee that the middle-end of the draft is gonna change dramatically.

Btw, Toronto’s Pick is currently 24th, Orlando/LA’s Pick is 41st.

If there's a stud available in the mid first then I would agree.

This is the type of player that is available in Rd. 2.
- Terrible footwork
- poor at protecting the ball w/ his body
- poor at finishing
- reminds you Ian Mahinmi or Prince Ibeh
5 ppg, maybe 3 rpg w/ a lot of turnovers and no outside shot
