“Our performance team is giving them a bunch of [instructions]. Zach Weatherford has experience with the Olympic team and Dan Meehan has experience at altitude,” said Atkinson, referring to the team’s director of player performance and head of strength and conditioning. “I can’t tell you our secrets because I don’t want the enemy to know, but I do think we have things in place that will help our guys.”

Rondae Hollis-Jefferson wasn’t so bound by the Nets code of silence.

“They told us to hydrate a lot, and just to get our red blood count up I guess, with the steam room. Just pretty much because of different altitude, and oxygen is different and all that; and we’re not, most people are not used to. Just getting us prepared for that physically and mentally, that’s something we’re a step ahead of,” said RHJ, comparing the Nets to the Thunder and Heat.

New York City mayor Bill DeBlasio poured salt on the wounds of the Brooklyn Nets on Tuesday. At a town hall meeting in Queens, DeBlasio took the time to point out how rough it is being a Nets fan.

DeBlasio said to the man: “I’m from Brooklyn too, but this Brooklyn Nets idea has not been working out as it was planned, so I admire you for sticking with them.”

I trust we are being handsomely rewarded for playing 2 home games internationally and that we get some love from the league (refs).

depends on the spread.

OKC hasn't exactly played well but its a tall task for us regardless.

Dinwiddie, Crabbe, RHJ, Carroll, and LeVert all have to show up tonight for us to win. period. if not, we're going to get pounded. westbrook is a machine.

Yeah that 10pm start is a killer. That also might impact player performance as well on top of the altitude issues. i hope the guys get some rest before game time.

This is going to be a tough one with or without George.
It will be tough to score inside as Adams is pretty good, while they still have Roberson on the perimeter. We have to hope for lots of bricks for Westbrick and Melo.

The Nets are on pace (.39) to win 32 games -- and this is without Lin, and Russell only playing half the games. What a shame. Surprisingly, my bet on the Nets over is still in play. My solace this season is watching Dinwiddie bloom into a legit starter, Levert slowly regain his composure, RHJ steadily improve, Allen shows glimpses of the beast he is, and Harris turn into poor man's Korver.

Legitimately worried about Russell Westbrook hurting Dinwiddie or the other way around. Westbrook's wrecklessness and Dinwiddie's pace don't match up in my head. I might be tripping, but I don't like it.

With PG out this has to be a win. Westbrook and Melo chucking long 2's plus their subpar bench... W

32 wins and improvement across the board will make this season a huge success.
