INJURY REPORT
Stauskas - QUESTIONABLE (ankle)
Crabbe - DOUBTFUL (left shin)
Carroll - OUT (knee sprain)
DLO - OUT
The Brooklyn Nets have been addicted to close games lately, with their last five matchups all being decided by three points or less.
After the Nets' most recent loss, which came in overtime to the Toronto Raptors, Spencer Dinwiddie looked into a baseline camera and said "this is exactly what I'm talking about" after he felt he didn't get a call on his last-second drive to the basket.
"We've been looking for the refs to bail us out, but you can't look for the refs to bail you out. We're playing the game, so we've got to go out there and compete. … If we limit a couple of mistakes we easily win [Monday], we easily win the Boston game."
"You can't look for the call in this league," Carroll said. "Refs, they're going to see calls, they're going to miss calls. But at the end of the day, you're just screaming at a ref, and you're hollering at him the whole game; they're going to miss calls. They don't worry about screaming at you or hollering at you, so I feel like we've got to really focus on the game.”
"We can't focus on the ref. When we stop focusing on the ref, maybe we'll get our calls. Let them do their jobs instead of jumping on them the whole time. It'll really help us out in the long run. Let's try an opposite effect and see if it works."

As much as I agree with Carroll, I think Dinwiddie was 100% on point. they got jobbed. But if Carroll's attitude is indicative of the team overall, good. We need to execute regardless of the call.
The spread is -2 Detroit.

I'm wit Dinwiddie. Call the calls, Lowry could have had a career ending injury just based on missing the call on the other end.
Let's Eat!

Anyone want to go to the game? I've got a couple of extra tix for pretty good seats.

ugh I'd love to but I live in CT and getting to games is never quick or easy. Also middle of the work week. I've only been to Barclays once for a Hawks game a couple years back and, appropriately enough, DMC was thrashing us from the 3pt line.
I think we gotta be ready for Detroit though. We've had some close games against 2 really good teams, but I feel like tonight we could get in a bad situation where Drummond dominates the paint for like 25/12.

So minutes for Doyle, RHJ at SF position and maybe Whitehead? Whitout Russell, Crabbe, Stauskas and Carroll we need a miracle to win this game.

Doyle is a very talented defender. Stauskas and Levert should have a big game tonight.

The size in the NBA is so crazy. When I saw highlights of Doyle in the G-League he looked huge. When he's next to our guys and the rest of the league, he looks pretty small. He's the shortest dude on our roster

I'm not really sold on him but I'm glad we're giving him a fair shot. We easily could have brought Whitehead up but I think he's proved he's a more capable PG than Stauskas is. That's something. Don't think we'll see the Stauskas-Harris-Crabbe combination any more.

We definitely won’t unless everyone gets injured. We probably won’t see much Doyle tonight either now that Caris LeVert is back

Nice of you to offer tickets. Wish I was in town.
On the topic of going to Barclays, has the atmosphere changed a lot since the pre-Markinson days? I remember reading from MDB, Prok and others how depressing, empty and cavernous Barclays could be in the past, and how they hoped it would change.
It looks pretty lively from what i can see on TV but its hard to tell from TV

Tobias Harris has been balling this year, RHJ will have a good test ahead of him tonight.

Dinwiddie's sarcasm game was on point.
With Levert playing, all things are possible.

Nah the only way to get real Nets fans in that stadium is to win. Otherwise its a place where they market other teams so they can watch other big name players. We just need to start winning with this squad and we will develop a real fanbase in the borough.

I fail to understand how Tobias Harris doesn't get any love. He is sooooo underrated. Ronde will indeed have his hands full tonight. That's a match up I will be checking for.
And, it would be nice to get a win!
