I’m very happy about this kid. Not many players at the small forward position have his ball handling ability.

In terms of style he seems like Carmelo (obviously not saying he's going to be Carmelo). Not a great athlete, or an elite shooter, or a top passer. But a crafty scorer at all 3 levels. Hope it works out and at that spot you may as well gamble on upside since he's certainly young and scoring is still scoring. Like that he's a hard worker.

how do you say his first name? jonathan? this guy reminds me of a slightly higher potential bojan bogdanovic.

I agree with the Bojan comparison.

He once scored 50 points in just 27 minutes against - Chinese Taipei :) on the FIBA Under 17 World Championships, that's I belive still the record of that competition, nobody scored more in one game ever

Mirza Teletovic once made him cry on the court(they played together for the national team)

I'm happy with it... good potential there to be excited... adds a possible dynamic to our repetitive bunch and I hope it works out for the kid.

With LeVert, RHJ n Allen around... I'd imagine their ethics and leadership as well as team morale will bring great inspiration and influence to young Musa....

Good pick for us.

DZANAN MUSA: I can’t describe this feeling. I was very emotional when my name was called. I started crying. This is like the dream come true. I’m willing to work hard for every minute on the court.

Q. How does it feel to be drafted in your home now, Brooklyn?

DZANAN MUSA: I was just talking about it. I started to cry. When you get drafted to the home and in the building where you’re going to spend like most of the time of the year, I’m very happy. This is truly a blessing from God.

On this clip you can see him share the ball much more than he does now, it's from FIBA Under 16 European Championships, Bosnia won, Musa was the MVP

This is pretty much how he plays now, in the world of adult, professional players

I don't see the Bogdanovic comparison at all, I think that's just a lazy "white euro player" comparison. This guy's ball handling ability/potential seems to be way beyond what Bogdanovic can do. He also seems like a better athlete to me, with a much quicker first step. On the other hand, he's not the shooter that Bogdanovic is, and his 3pt shot seems to be inconsistent. Also doesn't seem to have any post game which is something Bogdanovic did have in Europe.

I like most of what I've seen from Musa but his body build/frame and T-rex wingspan is a concern. Hopefully he also takes out the Kobe esque chucker mentality out of his game here in the NBA.

isn't Kenny's system based on chucking?

Chucking 3s, yea. Musa's weakness seems to be iso plays tho. His idol is Kobe so it makes sense.

Can't lie, stylistically can't help but think Harden or Gordon Hayward.

Maybe Jamal Crawford?

Agreed, very lazy, standard white guy from Europe who recently played NBA ball comparison.
