About 33 with the current roster without any trades, but I expect 1 to 2 trades this season.

I think I'm being overly optimistic, but I'll go with 34.

Watching that preseason game the other night reminded me how long an NBA game is and how easy it is to blow a moderate lead. It also reminded me that though we're deep with young B-rate prospects, we're not deep with actual full on NBA players at this point. And although we have a number of guys with +level starter potential, most of, if not all our starters aren't really starters at this point in time.

I'm going with 31 wins, even though 32 keeps popping into my head.

Well... I'm definitely being very optimistic with this prediciton but that's, because every year I predict I'm always 10 games off, so I want to be overly generous. However, I do think we are capable of winning 40+ games this year with the current roster we have. Yeah, we didn't look that great in the first preseason game and still looked the same from last season against the Knicks. Eventhough that's the case, Last season we had so many close games that could've either side. But the thing about last season, a lot of the losses were due to bad calls from the refs. I'm not saying the refs are against the Nets, but to justify their cause,it was because of majority of our roster last year were unknown players. The refs didn't have any sample size for our players tendency on how they play. What was good about last year, Dinwiddie sure made he raised the awareness about the situation. So IMO I think we are much capable of winning close games this year. On top of that we have an improved roster. I think a realistic expectation for this team is to win on the high 30s.

Bigs like Kanter aree still going to eat good when they play us and the defense is still booty. They'll be better with Rhondae and Napier but D'Angelo and LeVert don't play any defense hard to win trying to outscore teams every game.

29 wins and a good draft pick.

I think the nets either tank for a high pick or don't tank and end up with a 9th or worse pick. I don't see them being bad enough to get a top 5 pick. And I don't see anyone trading down if next year's draft isn't that deep.

I'd love the under at 32.5... not just because of potentially winning money... but if you DONT hit the under, it means the nets made another +5 or more game improvement, which is a great sign.

i typically hedge this way, put money against my team, win money if they lose to offset depression, and if i lose the money im happy cause my team won.

i just won money on the redsox winning vs the yanks, id have been ecstatic to lose that money and bummed out but at least i have some extra cash

My bad Prok...I take my time deciding just everything. Guesstimating the Nets regular season record is no different, especially considering that I tend to avoid "predictions" given the number of unknown/unexpected variables that are in play and can arise during the season.

If I had to pick a number, I'm in line with Vegas at 32.5. For our purposes, let's say 32.

In my mind, a 5+ game improvement would mean that things went really well this season.

And for those of us picking win totals over 37, I'd like to remind everyone that the Nets have won 38 or more games only 3 times in the last 10 seasons. Our first year in Brooklyn tied the highest peak in wins (49) that we've had since Kidd's 2001-02 team. We also won 49 games in 02-03, 05-06. Since 07-08, we've had one 12 win season, 5 seasons of 20-29 wins, 3 seasons of 30-39 wins, and 2 seasons of 40-49 wins. Those teams that won more than 37 games had way more top-level talent than our current team.

It's easy for us to look at our team's offseason and talk about how much they improved while forgetting that other teams could have improved as well.

Finally, I expect some injuries to occur because they always do.

You know the more I see Zion Williamson. The more I want this team to loose for one more year just because he fits so well with the current team we have. I just don't see us not winning more than 36 games this year. I think our players improved drastically along with the added depth in every position is just something hard to beat.
