What mined materials have you heard that the USA particularly needs from Russia?

IIRC China's mining is vastly more vital to tech manufacturing, for example in rare earth metals.

My point is still that the USA economically disengaging from Russia is pretty much no sweat.

Moderate Dems going to start losing seats soon. They'll start feeling Pressure soon. Progressives like AOC will stand fighting, but they're in minority due to budget finances. City oligarchy will never allow them to get to power.

This means mandates will be eased and lifted soon. Moderate D will bach, the tool we call mayor will accommodate it.

Moderate and Conservative Dems are the main ones who have obstructed Biden's agenda and will be the reason why Democrats will get wiped out in November.

They can't blame progressives this time. AOC wanted to get the Build Back Better Act passed before the Infrastructure bill because she knew Manchin would tank the legislation in the Senate.

You can't go around campaigning on helping people and then not delivering tangible results to your voters. Especially with inflation sky high and Americans getting price gouged at the pump.

Biden, Schumer, and Pelosi better fix sh*t fast because I fear the turnout in November will be awful for the Democrats

China and the USA are basically handcuffed together in the global economy. It makes no sense to start a war.

No but China also is plotting their roadmap to absorb Taiwan.

People are saying China is hesitant on the Russia issue because of oil but in actuality they are hesitant because they have future plans to do to Taiwan what russia is doing to ukraine.

Russia is basically watching russia to build their template.

the laws/repeals of oversight on Lobbying in the 70s led to the expedited erosion of american politics.

-You used to not be allowed to lobby
-Then you could Lobby, but only a certain amount of money
-Then you could lobby an unlimited amount, but it had to be public record
-Then you could lobby, any amount, hide the donor, but were subject to a closed audit (donor never revealed to public)

Today: You can lobby, any amount, hide the donor, and it is illegal to audit or seek the identity without a federal subpoena.

Combined that with senators having no term limit and you basically have billionaires who can buy the law/politicians for 40-50 years with no reprecautious and do it without the public even knowing who the lobbyists are. And now, as pork in cybersecurity bills they are trying to slide in that lobbyists can not be prosecuted for bribary and senators/congress are immune to criminal charges for taking money from a lobby in bad faith.

this is supposed to be a democracy? where elected officials can be paid and undisclosed amount of money from an undisclosed party and act on law/bills any way the see fit and ignore their constituents or even change sides of the aisle?

fortunately for washington the average american knows nothing about politics, law, the constitution, or even when voting happens for their city/state elections.

All jokes aside, she has been sounding the alarm for months and the Establishment Dems continues to ignore her to the country's detriment. She was 100% right about Manchin who put the knife in Biden's back and she's right about Clarence Thomas.

https://www.washingtonexaminer.com/news/fec-fines-dnc-clinton-for-trump-dossier-hoax
The Federal Election Commission has fined the Democratic National Committee and Hillary Clinton’s 2016 campaign for lying about the funding of the infamous, and discredited, Russian “dossier” used in a smear attempt against Donald Trump weeks before he shocked the world with his 2016 presidential victory.

The election agency said that Clinton and the DNC violated strict rules on describing expenditures of payments funneled to the opposition research firm Fusion GPS through their law firm.

That is the homeless population of NY State. 5,000+ of those are unsheltered. 3000+ of those are children. 1200+ of those are vets.

I don't care if the Bills (or any team, lets not single them out but you get the point) have to play on a dirt field next to a landfill. Not a single cent of that money should go towards a sports team/franchise until every single man, woman, child, and vet have a roof over their head. or at the very least, a shelter.

disgusting.

All these people care about is votes and getting elected/re-elected to stay in power, where once there are above the law and money printing machines. And no one does anything about it because they are all getting rich and powerful off the same system.

Centuries-late reply, but AOC is a National Treasure, and altho witty & sharp-tongued as hell in tone, she usually doesn't pipe up unless she's 99% sure of things. Talk about REFRESHING.

Whereas, the modern-Republican playbook has pretty much devolved to pure projection upon the Dems about whatever debaucheries and traitorous actions right-wingers are themselves committing. And yet, the political limbo bar has dipped so incredibly low anymore, that all you really need to do at this point is to appeal to a group of hateful, ignorant, single-issue extremists in order to win too many elections.

Let's face it-- American Democracy was looking downright *plausible* under FDR and the post-FDR direction (if a bit bumpy here & there), but has become an utter sh-tshow in the wake of awful scoundrels like Nixon and Reagan.

Yeah of course, China and Russia are some totalitarian wannabe empires, and complete frauds on the whole, yet they DO kinda have a real point when it comes to the USA being 'evil'-- it's that we've become a country increasingly in abject service to the wealthy. Not surprisingly, our middle-class is dying, it costs more & more just to rent and get by, and homeless rates are naturally rising in most cities, predictably.

Did someone mention "1984?" Because this is how you swiftly arrive there..
