i agree, we need to play faried, if he can bring that manimal back, our team is going to be running and gunning and active!

kenny wants to do this small ball garbage again, we are going to get bullied by stronger power forwards if we dont use faried.

Shows you how much he values that stretch 4. Maybe he's doing it because Faried doesn't know the system yet RHJ will be back by the season opener.

after thinking about it, I understand if Kenny wants to use a Russell/LeVert/Crabbe/Carroll/Allen line up since RHJ isn't ready to go. Lots of space in that line up.

If you insert Faried in there, we don't really know how Faried's game works in the offense. With RHJ we know that we're getting defense and on offense he's either getting to the line or he's working the mid range game. Faried doesn't do any of that, most of his game is all hustle garbage points which is cool but a step down from what RHJ does.

I thought they brought in Dudley to be a stretch four I want to see him calling out the defense like he said.

“I’m a four where distributing is obviously a strong suit and I think IQ when it comes to the defensive end, being able to call switches,” Dudley said. “Everywhere I’ve been, I’ve controlled a lot of defenses, transition defense, putting guys in the right position. I think that’s one thing they lacked when it comes to that defensively with guys being assertive and pointing people in the right direction. I think it’s a great fit for me. I’m looking forward to it.”

Kenny on Dudley
“He gives us some more versatility when we need more shooting on the floor,” Atkinson agreed. “I think it’s big. I think it allows us to, kind of what we talked about, play big and play small with him.”

I think Kenny just trusts his guys more.

this is why I continue to laugh about adding bigs… what for? he don't play them nor use them for their actual "big" attribute...

Kenneth Faried seems more so like a small ball 5 in this offense tbh

Also, if you're expecting Faried to help us defensively versus bigger frontcourts I've got some bad news for you.

Faried does most of his work in transition offensively, similar to booker only even more transition oriented. unlike last year, if we are getting killed on the boards we have guys we can bring in to counter that.

the first round pick we got and his ties to the community id assume were the 2 biggest factors. with leadership and rebounding being the next 2

faried isnt a center though, maybe in this nba he could be, but he is best as a power forward, we need him for certain matchups against physical bigs like blake griffin and to grab boards and provide energy. i hope kenny uses him mainly cause i want to see the manimal play.

Kenny already mentioned Allen + Davis/Faried combos as something he’ll experiment with.

Faried is a high energy, high effort guy

however, that doesn't always translate to good defense.

Denver draft pick plus expiring contract.

Faried is a poor defensive player and the same can be said for his offense. He doesn't seem like a fit at all for Kenny's system.

Maybe Kenny can work his magic with Faried and revive his career.

if ed davis and alan williams can fit into this system, faried can too. i just want to see faried get a chance to play and see how he fits.

I want to make it clear that i am not anti Faried either. I love his energy and I look forward to seeing him get in there and hustle. But he's not a good defender and on offense he is mostly a garbage man type scorer. He seems like he'd be more of a center in this offense.
