As much as I've criticized Dudley when he has played, RHJ has been almost as useless in the 4th/end of game situations. Even on the defensive end, he has been mostly ****.

Russell forgot that there are other players on the team after he made a couple of 3s, and holy crap Dinwiddie continued to make crucial mistake after crucial mistake down the stretch.

Another braindead decision by Dinwiddie...we had 19 seconds, not 1.9.

Doumbouya is pretty damn good though  but I'm all in for Bol too. Those turnaround fadeaway threes with have Barclays lit AF

Dombouya's intriguing, but the latest I've heard is that he's off to a rough start in the Jeep league.

Sekou Doumbouya
Team: CSP Limoges

Leagues: French Jeep Elite/Pro A, Eurocup

Stats: 4.19 BLK%, 1.29 STL%, 6.73 AST%, 11.34 TOV%, 5.43 ORB%, 20.69 DRB%, .182 3P%, 5.2 3PA/40

"On the positive side, Doumbouya’s defensive production has improved immensely despite going up a level in competition. His 4.19 BLK% is nearly double last year’s mark, and provides more reason for confidence in his defensive goodness. His instincts and anticipation have begun to catch up with his motor on that end, but he still is not the perimeter defender he needs to be to offer NBA level wing versatility.

His offensive efficiency is poor, his 3-pointer still isn’t falling at a passable clip and his passing is bad. He’s a young prospect going against professionals, so it was never reasonable to expect him to dominate like Doncic did last season (even though Doumbouya’s opposition is significantly worse than Doncic’s was), but he still has a lot to prove. If he can’t consistently hit stationary jumpers or make decent decisions on drives, he won’t be a passable enough offensive player to justify minutes.

Doumbouya possesses plenty of room for growth. His fluidity, youth and motor are major assets. Still, his grip on the top international slot in this class isn’t very tight for me. Technical improvements defending in space could prove to be low hanging developmental fruit in an NBA system, so the main thing I would like to see from him this season is leveraging his height to pass in traffic, specifically finding corner shooters on drives."

Ricky Scricca, 3 weeks ago via The Stepien

Btw, The Stepien is a great resource for draft info. Scouts are pretty thorough. Ricky Scricca wrote an entire breakdown of Dombouya's package - it's worth a look

Russell needs to learn how to draw fouls via baiting on those pump fake 3s. Coulda drew one on Anderson there

Fun game to watch and I'm glad we lost. Jackson Jr is a beast though I didn't know he was that good sheesh. The refs were horrible ! we still gets no love and we won't until we get a legit star Oh well shrugs

I want to be mad at Gasol just shoving Allen out the way on his last defensive rebound in the OT and the refs completely being blind and not seeing Anderson hit the ball out of Dinwiddie's hands, but I can't. The Nets should of just won the game in regulation and not deal with the chaos after. Don't commit a stupid foul and leads to a four point play up seven and do one of the most basic basketball things by inbounding the ball correctly to a teammate in clutch situations. The Nets have had some of the worst game melt downs this year and there's no excuse for it.

I think Kenny should have sat him and went with Carroll at 4 and Napier in as a 3rd ball handler. Rondae has reached Crash level for me. And I've always said that Rondae is one of the most overrated defenders that we have. He's pesky and pretty good on the ball, but he's very much not a disciplined defender. His game both offensively and defensively is based off of effort.

Unless he's got a straight line heading to the basket, he's not a threat.

The refs were awful down the stretch, but I think overall they did OK with the replay. It's just the Grizz got the ticky tack fouls on their end that they were letting go on ours.

Russell had some good looks at the end, just couldn't nail them.

But yeah, I'm ready for finding our next option at the 4.

Best case scenario is 6th worst record IMO.

Knicks are 1 and a half game behind us. We can be no worse than 5th.
