He doesn't get enough praise he deserves his own thread so here it is.
Ed Davis is second in the NBA in rebounds per 36 minutes with a career-high rate of 16.9, ahead of overall rebounding leader Andre Drummond. Davis leads the league in rebounds off the bench (340, 8.5 per game). The ninth-year veteran leads the NBA in offensive rebound percentage (15.3) and rebound percentage (22.4) and is fifth in defensive rebound percentage (29.8). Since 1983-84, Davis is third in NBA history in total rebounds off the bench (3,272).

I like how every 5 games or so Ed gets into beef with an opposing player.

He's a stud, an enforcer, and a legit 6th-man of the year candidate. Of course, the front-runner Dinwiddie is his teammate!
It's awesome to see such quality depth on the squad. We are resting players when minor nagging ailments arise. Other guys step up, and we don't miss a beat.

He's a good player, but you guys are fooling yourselves if you think he's better than Sabonis as a big odd the bench or as a sixth man.

Ed is a true Net. Dude plays with an extra gear and just knows how to make winning plays. Keeper. Perfect balance between Fro and Ed.

Literally no one said this or mentioned that Davis was better than Sabonis.

"Ed Davis best big man of(f) the bench". Title of the thread.
It was also mentioned that Ed Davis is a legit candidate to 6MotY and Dinwiddie is the frontrunner while Sabonis has been to a whole another level and there are a few others player that have been consistently better than those two, such as Harell, Valanciunas (before injury), Lou Williams and Derrick Rose.
It's great that Brooklyn Nets fans are getting some excitement after so many years of no hope, but please don't get offended when people bring you back to Earth

Nets are still having a surprisingly good season, the team is super-deep and performing well even without its best player Caris LeVert of which I am a big fan.

Yeah but no one said Ed Davis is better than Sabonis.
believe me, no one takes their own to task for hot takes more than us here on this board so I don't think we need anyone to "bring us down to earth". Most Net fans here are grounded and well versed.
However, we do recognize that Ed Davis and Spencer Dinwiddie are both very good players.

Toronto fans always have a place in their hearts for him. Nicknamed "Speshal Ed", he's one of those guys that no Raptor fan ever wanted to lose. He'd fit so well with the team right now.
You know where else he'd fit really well?
Portland!!
How did those morons let him walk for that??
You guys really lucked out.

they wanted him back... crabbe recruited both Davis and Napier. both listed the nets culture, treatment/amenities for players families as a major factor in their decision.
