I never get tired of watching old Vince clips during his days with the Nets. I'll never forget that game either against the Raptors with the 3 at the end of regulation to tie and the OT inbounds dunk to win it. I hate using this term, but that guy was a straight baller.
Let's see what the boys bring tonight. Can't fall behind early. I had absolute confidence the Nets would come back against the hawks, that they're good enough now to be able to do that. I DON'T think that's a possibility against the Raptors in Toronto though. Needs to stay close throughout. Everyone has to be efficient in this one.

Game time is 7:30pm EST
Odds:
NETS: +9.5
O/U: 222.5
Keys to victory:
-Threes.
-Plenty of Russell and Dinwiddie.
-Boards
-Blocks
Kurucs must show up tonight. Carroll has got to give us some big veteran minutes
Graham needs to stop bricking threes. No more hard bricks. Make the open shot.
If one or both of Russell/Dinwiddie don't have it tonight, we're done. They have got to take on this challenge.
Win this game, get to .500 and the media will be worshiping the Nets all week long.
I don't expect a win, but I expect a fight.

cosign all of this... Napier has also trended towards scrub level/chucker a bounce back game from him would go a long way.
Dudley out, RHJ out... Kurucs needs to stay out of foul trouble and compete. we will see alot of kurucs/graham carroll and a ton of small ball

Looks like we're going to have to cross match Kurucs and Carroll on Siakam and Leonard, unless Kenny is going to throw Rodi into the fire and let him defend Leonard.

I'm moderately surprised that Carroll is starting. I was guessing that Kenny was going to leave the bench mob in tact, and start Graham. I'm excited to see Carroll get the nod. I think him being a capable ball handler will help ease some pressure off of DLo.
Regardless of who starts, I expect Graham to get a lot of burn. We're going to throw every look imaginable at Kawhi.

i think we end up playing mostly zone... keep lowry out of the pick and roll and allow help on leonard

carroll droping like 25/8/3 on his old team would be fun...

I'm in Toronto (like last year). I actually extended my trip just to be available to go this game, however I think I have the flu.
I've never been as sick as I have been over the last two weeks. Congestion, headaches, and physical weakness. It's been terrible.
The funny thing is that my wife tried to orchestrate an entire evening with us going to dinner and then see the game but I had to say no because I'm still too weak and I don't know how I'll feel before, during and after the game.
Obviously, this really sucks.
Maybe if tickets get stupid cheap in the next 90 minutes, I'll force myself to go but it's not looking good right now.

Thanks.
I haven't stepped outside like all week. I'm not even sure I'd make into the arena, let alone have get close enough to others to spread my sickness lol.
I might take 10 steps to the car, fall, and not get back up.
I might ask the wife to get some Tim Hortons though. 100 better than Dunkin' Donuts. If America ran on that instead of DnD's, DC would only be 75% as corrupt as it currently is.

Tempted to take them tonight, feels like a foolish bet though, this game could go any amount of ways, but the most likely is probably the Nets keeping it close a lot of the game and losing by 11 to 14 after a late 4th run and free throw competition by Toronto, or they go down big early and claw their way back, but never get over the hump and lose by that same range.
Can't get myself to go against them though, cannot root for Toronto and this isn't a no brainer to just chalk it up as a loss, especially a blowout.
I'm seeing them at +10 though. They opened at 10, they went down to +9.5 earlier on some sites/casinos for a brief moment, they're back to 10 though. They go down to 9 I'd be feeling a lot better.
