2 days off, No Kyrie, No Smart, No Baynes, No Excuses. We need to get this one back.

F- effort on the game thread, but props for getting one up as I wanted to chime in but was too lazy to post vids and images lol..

This is much more winnable with Kyrie out obviously, but dont underestimate the impact of no smart or baynes have. those are their 2 best defenders. i know baynes was out last time but that was second of a back to back on the road and kind of a throw away for us.

this is winnable, although not a lock win by any means. i expect it to be close. celtics young guys got called out and will all start now.

I don't have the time, ability or desire to pretty up a game thread. I just needed somewhere to post that the Celtics will also be very shorthanded. Somebody can create a new one & merge this if they want.

As weird as it sounds, I'm more excited by the absence of Smart & Baynes than Kyrie. Allen gets a bit f a break not having to body up with Baynes, and DLo & Dinwiddie should have good games not having to guard Kyrie or being hounded by Smart.

i was just joking/giving you a hard time man... as i said i was too lazy to even make one myself and was glad someone did :)

i agree on smart/baynes. having their top defeners out to me will help us more

Even without Irving, they are still formidable with Horford, Tatum, Hayward, and Brown in the mix. There are no easy wins for a Nets team that has been injury ravaged and is heavily reliant on one position to carry the team on a nightly basis.

That being said, we need Russell and Dinwiddie to bring it tonight. 2 days rest and no travel, I expect them both to be on their A games tonight. We need a win to maintain pace.

The Nets are +3 dogs tonight, the O/U is 219.

This is a winnable game, even with all our injuries. Hope we come out with the right energy.

I know it won't happen, but I hope Carroll starts instead of Graham.

I was also shocked when I saw that RHJ is Questionable tonight. I thought he would've been out much longer.

Night off from work and Celtics set back by some injuries? Bet your ass I'm watching tonight.

would love to see DLo continue his hot streak and maybe have Spence bust out a huge game tonight on offense. These guys need a game where they combine for 50+.

GT: Nets vs Celtics 1/14/2019

Post#12 » by Paradise » Mon Jan 14, 2019 11:00 pm

Just wanted to say this...and it applies W or L tonight or whenever.

Remember that summer argument about Dinwiddie proclaiming to be better than the Knicks?

Read on Twitter

Dudes in here were actually mad at him for exuding confidence that we would change the narrative. The “shut up and prove it” stuff should never come from your own fanbase during the summer. I hope some of us grew from that. All that “nobody will ever come here” stuff was pure negativity. Like we couldn’t internally develop?

The league has been watching and now they’ve finally begun to swing the media attention onto Brooklyn. This is why stuff like that matters. I can honestly say I knew this was coming from the moment Pop tried to intervene in us landing Sean Marks...that’s all the faith I needed.

5:15 mark...
