Really don't see how Russell can't be a marketing attraction for this team.

It's because they weren't trapping him hard like Dlo. They were fine with Napier beating them, which he did.

Russell actually did turn the ball over (once that I recall...a bad bounce pass to rondae) but that's nit picking.

And I don't want this to turn into a Russell bashing topic (like it usually ends up being) but for those who don't think Russell and a Kyrie/Kemba can't play together...consider tonight (and other nights when the other team has a good aggressive defender on Russell, like Knicks or Raptors) exhibit A.

Except instead of Napier being our trap/press buster, it's Kyrie or Kemba.

I've said several times that this season's Russell profile fits more a catch and shoot SG.

Having an elite guy who can break down defenses with him will allow him to just rain down wide open threes.

Russell can basically become a dangerous shooter with an ELITE passing and vision. That's a great thing to have next to another dominant break your defense kind of guy.

But so don't no one get the wrong impression, Russell had a very good game. So did Napier. And Joe was again good. Very solid overall team contribution from everyone.

There is really no need to make any panic moves right now.

We just need to get Caris, and later Spencer back.

Now if we can somehow get a stretch 4 for low cost? Sure, especially even in a buyout scenario.

But let's keep all of our ammo for the off season.

Russell had 3 TOs, but none in the 4th like kamaze was trying to imply when he was getting trapped. I went through the 4th qtr play by play just to make sure and didn't see any TOs either for Russell.

and yeah last night made me see what you're point out. Walker or...ugh Irving and Russell would probably be a good fit offensively.

I will be critical of this, Russell's defense in the 4th was lacking. I'll excuse it because we won and he was pretty much excellent but I saw some plays on D that I hope Kenny points out to him. He put up little resistance on a few of those drives/pull ups.

2 of his turnovers were from the trap 1 he was double teamed the other he tried to pass to Rhondae before the double came. Whenever I point out his turnovers it turns into this big debate he makes mistakes don't know why you guys get so offended when they're brought up.

Not really a stretch at all. Even I had been one of his biggest detractors, but the leap he's taken this year has been immense and his court vision was always one of his biggest strengths.
