Win tonight would gaurantee a winning record going into the all-star game. Typically the bulls play us tough but without Bobby Portis my confidence level in a win greatly increases. need to follow up the Denver win with a win here or else it was all for not. We have been playing great at home... keep protecting the BC.
also... He's back...

I do like the length that we have now for Lavine (Crabbe, Caris, Rondae, Graham, Rodi) and Porter has really hurt us.
I hope the Nets are pumped getting Caris back and throttle the Bulls

Excited for LeVert's return. My expectations are high and there's nothing y'all can say to bring em down.
I'm just hoping that Kenny doesn't return to my least favorite lineup ever. Crabbe at PF. With Graham, Carroll, Kurucs, RHJ, it's not necessary.
Expecting a big game from DLo. He's gotten to the point where he effortlessly lights up bad defensive teams. If their team defense isn't on point, DLo + Harris + Allen are getting easy buckets all game.

LeVert on a minutes restriction will most likely need time to shake off the rust and get into game shape. Still happy he's back.

I miss the Russell/Carroll/Kurucs/Dudley/Davis line up we'd run at times. It wasn't perfect but I loved the size and spacing and was hoping to see Kenny use it with either Spencer or LeVert at lead ball handler with that unit.

Yeah having Dudley, Davis and Carroll help out Kurucs was really great as they covered up for his aggressiveness (which can lead to bad positioning) and communicated well to allow him to recover.
I'm expecting Kenny to stick with Russell, Graham, Joe, Rodi, Allen lineup for now. At around 7 to 6 minute mark, Napier and Crabbe checks in for Russell and Graham. Caris can come in at start of 2nd to relieve Napier, and Russell can come in to close out the half.

I almost had a panic attack when he first threw that unit out there but it worked pretty well. Lots of length + BBIQ + shooting. I miss Dudley and his old man game.

We need that Saturday morning YMCA pick up game back in the rotation. Those Dudley 3point bangers from the top of the key gets the team amped up.
Nothing says High BBIQ than when Dudley would be feigning uselessness for like 10 straight offensive possessions to lull the defense to sleep and then dude drives in for a barrage of wide open lay ups. Dude would give you 6 points in 22 mins but they'd be all clutch baskets

Honestly the most painful thing about this team is that Carroll, Dudley, and Davis are all beloved players but we most likely can't bring back everyone next year. Like I will be sad to see DMC go, the guy took these young dudes under his wing and challenged them all. You can't help but give him credit when you see how Russell, LeVert, and Dinwiddie have all elevated.
I don't think Dudley has anything left in the tank for another year but I would love to see DMC/Davis retained somehow.

I think Dudley and Davis would be back on veteran deals (not necessarily min). Carroll is the one likely to go, as he has played really well and has probably earned a nice contact.
I think Dudley comes back for a min type deal, but we probably only have one room for cap hold/exception type signing, which will come down between Davis and Carroll.
As well as DMC has played, we do have younger guys who we can hope take his place, so I think Ed wins out.

yeah I wouldn't let Davis walk tbh. We need a solid veteran behind Allen.

Win number 30 would be nice. And, Caris returning to the level he was playing prior to injury would be nicer.
Bulls will come in and put up a fight, but I like the Nets chances tonight, hopefully playing inspired by seeing one of their leaders returning to the court.
Not sure how much burn Caris will get, but just him being in a uniform should boost morale.

Dudley will be a minimum salaried player. There's no issue bringing him back if we & he choose to.
Davis & Carroll are much more difficult. Given that we didn't make any major deadline trades, we'll be operating as an under the cap team. Both would need to be paid either out of cap space or with the Room exception. I'm not sure that exception is large enough for either, but my guess is that Carroll would be more likely to settle for less. Davis will probably want to be paid more or at least lock into more years.

I can actually see Dudley retiring and taking a front office position. He has hinted to that in interviews and on twitter.
I also agree that Davis would be much harder to replace for us. However I would really hope we can keep both. DMC has been the perfect vet for us and it would be cool if he retired here.

Yeah ideally we keep both. But I won't blame Demarre if he takes the money

Ed Davis seems like more of a priority. We don't get to this point in the season where we're looking like a legit playoff team without him doing some heavy lifting most nights.

He seems to be in mid season form already, by making 1 out of 3 from downtown.

Dudley is coming back as an assistant coach or in the front office, maybe as a Langdon replacement if some visionary team swoops in and hires Trajan as their GM.
