2019 Off-Season Questions

Post#1 » by NYG » Sat Feb 9, 2019 5:20 am

1. Who are your free agents and what percentage would you put on them re-signing?

2. What are your team needs and the overall short term goals of the team?

3. Is there any reason your coach may not be in place next year?

4. Who are you willing to trade?

1) Russell, RHJ, Carroll, Napier, Davis, Dudley, Pinson.

Russell 100% back. the other all 50/50

2) a 2 way small ball power forward, and all-star level talent.

3) maybe if he got hit by a bus? 100% kenny will be back

4) willing to trade crabbe and our picks.

What about the middle tier of free agency?

I think Rudy Gay would be perfect, Milsap, Trevor Ariza, Thad Young, Morris bros, Jeff Green would all be good additions if we miss out on KD, Kawhi and Tobias. I would put Milsap at the top of the list if Nuggets decline his option.

Thad Young and Morris are not fits here. Especially Young.

Milsap would be the ideal stop gap. I dont think Jeff green has any chance of being considered, they would sooner just bring back Carroll.

I'd think it would be:

KD, Kawhi... once they pass
Kyrie, Kemba... once they pass
Tobias, Butler... once they pass
Milsap.. once he passes

bring back our own guys... Carroll, dudley, Napier, Davis, Graham and add in value via the draft looking to the trade market in season.

Would you take Danilo Gallinari and a future Clippers 1st for pure cap space? Then re-sign every one?

Assuming they strike out on all free agent targets and don’t court any other trade options (ie Aaron Gordon), they may entertain the idea. However I really think they’re aiming big from this summer on.

How would you rank the priority of bringing back free agents?

Obviously, #1 is Russell, but what about after that?

Russell

Davis
Carroll

RHJ

As for external FAs, it's KD/Kawhi/Harris or trade in my opinion.
