I think Kurucs will fare the best....

Typically Reserves/injury replacments in the ASG dont get a ton of burn... Russell is a G so he has that going for him touches wise. but id assume 8-12 minutes and maybe 3-5 FGA.

Allen is a big man in a game that will be dominated by chuck-frst ball handlers. maybe a few dunks or a highlight block

Harris has a chance, but typically guys who get as much height as he does on his jumper dont fare as well over the course of multiple rounds. i think maybe he has a big first round but doesnt go much further.

Kurucs will handle the ball and is up and down active and aggressive. i can see him dropping 20+

Thanks for posting and getting this discussion started MDB.

I'm with you Prok, I'm going into the ASG with the expectation that Russell won't get a lot of burn, and maybe hit like 1-2 shots. That's just how it goes, especially with new guys.

But for a second can you imagine if he has like 20 points, and hits like 4 or more 3 pointers? The league is already on notice, but imagine him having a big impact on the game.... the basketball community right now already holds the Nets, Marks, Atkinson, etc in high regard with what their doing (and it's real genuine respect, not pity "feel good" appreciation). If Russell can go off (and to a lesser extent, Harris winning the 3 point contest or Allen having a monster dunk/block) I really think we're gonna get the league even more hyped up.

I agree with Prok, Harris' shooting style might leave him fatigued if he makes it to the 2nd round by the time he gets to the later racks.

Joseph Buckets is going for the win.

He was struggling a bit after nursing that hip injury. I thought he'd go into the weekend cold. Dude is shooting a ridiculous 17 for 31 from 3 in 5 games in February. Joe is automatic and cold blooded.

Huh, I hadn't thought about that at all. Would you say that guys with more flattish shots tend to advance the furthest?

But yeah, I'm a bit bummed about DWid being injured this year. AFAIK the ball-handling skills contest and the 3pt-contest are the only no-nonsense / pure skill events this weekend. So then, hopefully Mssr Bequettes will acquit himself well.

.

Btw, I just made up those nicknames... anybody feeling them? :P

If you're not crazy about "DWid," then "DWiddle" or "DWids" also have a kind of a ring to them, I think. As for my Lumber Joe nickname-- "Bequettes" is meant to be the spelling of the way "Buh-KETS" sounds. Just meant to style on his main nickname a little bit.

Hey FrenchNetsFan, are you around to double-check that pls?

Dude hits some absolutely backbreaking threes. If you're Marks, you seriously have to be thinking about what happens after next year, we really can't afford to let one of the league's deadliest marksmen walk.

Harris' puts a lot of his legs into his jumper so he may fizzle out as he gets to the 4th and 5th racks.

However, Steve Kerr and Ray Allen are two guys that come to mind who really put their legs into their jump shot and they both won, so this is just conjecture. Steph Curry puts a lot of umph into his jump for his shot as well and we all know how that went for him.
