Fly By Knight? Durant's Visit

What do you guys make of the announced Kevin Durant miniseries, Fly By?
Here is the NetsDaily article for reference.
I'm thrilled at the exposure and the mere possibility of adding KD, although this doesn't guarantee a thing. Still, it's awfully interesting that the 3-part miniseries features 3 hosts of 3 teams that are all logical destinations for Kevin. We have the capspace to add a max player, and he is the very best FA available this summer.
Discuss.

Wow, this is cool. I'm really confused as to how this is not tampering but I'm not complaining!

Yea, I'm surprised not much has been made of this so far. The cities picked quite clearly make it look like an unofficial FA thing

While Durant is old for this core, he's a perfect system fit, and maybe we're mutually beneficial stopgaps for each other. I think Marks will position us to have space when DLo's banana boat (KAT, Booker, Simmons) are seeking their next contract. As for KD, I think he'd love to finish his career back in Seattle (if they get a team) or possibly back in OKC. I don't think there would be any akwardness in a separation 3-4 years out.

If KD signs with us I think we also need to sign DeAndre Jordan. It's KD good friend and I think Jordan would want to stay in NYC. I know he is lazy on defense but it does gives us a big body.

I mean, after we sign a max FA we're not going to have any capspace left. Jordan is going to sign a significant contract with someone, maybe just another 1-year deal but it'll be north of $10mil. We can't afford him.

For me, it's not even the fact that we wouldn't be able to afford him. I think he's on the downside of his career and his impact on the game won't be as much as it used to be.
More importantly, we have Jarrett Allen, who over the next few years could become as good as Jordan was in his peak on the defensive end. I think Allen is already better than Jordan's offensive peak and stands to improve a lot.
IMO, there's no need for Jordan on this team.
