I think this will be like the last OKC game... we will come out strong with a ton of intensity but in the end their talent will wear us out.

Biggest thing I always bring up for the playoffs: Role players 90% of the time play poor on the road in the playoffs, very well at home in the playoffs.

I don't expect alot from anyone outside of Russell and Carroll on the road.

If Embiid is out we need to find a way to steal game 1. They don't play well without him and Simmons/ Butler/ Tobias haven't had much time to gel yet. We have to come out swinging and punch them in the mouth.

I think we can contain Simmons, crash on him when he's attacking the rim. Sixers don't have great shooting other than JJ and maybe Tobias.

Our bench>their bench.. Our coach> their coach .. Our guards have to play up to their level to have a chnace.

Man, Barclays pricing is so frustrating. I was looking up prices @ Philly and they're literally at half even on resale. I bought tickets for G4 but I could see why anyone would hesitate.

Without Embiid, I think we have a shot.

Embiid is far and away their best player.

I don't trust their shooters outside of Reddick. Their bench is terrible. And I'm hoping Atkinson can scheme for Simmons the way Brade Stevens did.

If we can just make Simmons a huge liability on offense, their shooters don't make shots, and Russell Levert play well then we can win.

Obviously we have no answer to Embiid if he plays. But getting a Game 1 win would turn the series.

Is it possible that this is just a smokescreen by embiid. He's like the type of guy that'd do that. Anyway, I'd rather see the Philly play at their full strength, even if the nets get swept. I don't want those asterisk wins.

If Embiid plays, we should start the game by testing his mobility on defense.

If he's 95% healthy, I don't see how we win. We just don't have the size to properly match-up.

If he sits, I'd still favor Philly but it's a lot closer on paper.

Either way, I'm excited af for tmmw!

I see a lot of Philly fans saying this. It makes no sense for Philly to pull out smokescreens and trickery against the 6th seed, barely over .500 Nets. If there's nothing to it, this stuff just isn't necessary. We're not that scary.

Pretty much. We can't defend big men and if our threes aren't falling, we either need DLo to go super saiyan god mode to keep us afloat or we're pretty much toast barring a big time performance from LeVert/Spencer.

That being said, I don't think they're bluffing. If Embiid tries to play through it, we need to attack him every chance we get on screen and rolls with Russell/LeVert/Spencer all game long.

If he doesn't play tomorrow, the Nets have to seize this opportunity. We need Russell to be in money making mode tomorrow. Nothing less.

If it's pain that Embiid's been playing through already he'll probably just get tentative minutes restrictions. The longer this series goes the less time off he gets before their match up with Toronto. From that perspective sitting him and conceding games early in the series doesn't make sense.
