But I said from the start we were gonna lose. Sixers are way to motivated. Embiid is dominating us.

I know Kenny will make the right adjustments. Just win at home and try to make it a 6 or 7 game series. That's all we can ask for from this team.
There isn't much adjustment we can do unless Allen magically gains 30 lbs in one night. We have no answer for Embiid. Our only hope is that he plays perimeter, which he did game 1 and missed his threes. They parked him inside this game.

Still think we can get another one when we get hot or they get cold, which puts us square into most prediction of a 5 or 6 game series

Embiid is gonna get his. That doesn't mean we automatically lose.

Find more ways to limit Simmons. Also make adjustments on offense. I think more RHJ would be helpful. More screens for Harris. Plenty of ways we can win.

RHJ can't get mins at the 5. If he plays, it has to be for Graham.

I want to see Musa touching the ball, but Napier is playing summerleague-ball :( I guess it's ok in garbage time.

So who are we mainly blaming for this tragic 2nd half?

I don't even know why we play Graham. He sucks. Defense is overrated. RHJ is far better.

We lost the game early in the 3rd. I love Kenny, but he gets the lion's share of the blame there not adjusting on either end.

No one, we got hit with a haymaker.

The Nets giving up a 50 point 3rd quarter is not the norm. Nets will have two days off, I'm sure Kenny will be up all night watching tape. Onto game 3 tied 1-1

Agreed. Of course, the blame falls on the starting unit as well, but I think if Kenny takes a timeout early in the 3rd quarter (say when the lead became 8 and it was clear that the Sixers had quickly gained a lot of momentum), I think it would have never become a blowout. Our defense still sucked, but I think inserting Dinwiddie & Levert early would have at least helped our offense keep it close.

I'll give credit to Sixers, also poor transition D and energy at the beginning of the second half. Maybe time-out would have helped, maybe not.

Kenny not making any adjustments after the Sixers cam out aggressively on DLo.

Maybe Ed Davis was hurt but he prob could've gotten in if he wasn't.

Also be more aggressive when doubling Embiid(maybe they are waiting to do that in game 3)

Philly also was just good.

Honestly, Kenny needed to stop the bleeding much sooner.

But I'm gonna say it since no one wants to say it, Russell has not been good. He missed a ton of mid range shots in the 1st half of game 1, and he missed them again tonight.

We're not going to beat them with Russell playing the way he has. We need to play out of our minds to beat them, Russell included.

He took 25 shots to get 26 in game 1, and took 16 shots to score 16 points. That's just simply not good enough.

The starters as a whole unit came out flat in the 3rd and that's where the game turned...

Yea, I feel like D Lo has escaped most of the criticism. He has arguably been our 3rd best guard behind Levert & Dinwiddie after these first 2 games. Definitely need more from him, and better shotmaking.

Would be good if DLo got back to agressively driving like he had been for a while before this cold spell.

I thought a couple of the calls didn't help.

Simmons instigated something with Rodi, and Rodi wound up getting a F1. Seems to me they usually call a double tech on that stuff when they take the time to review it properly.

And I didn't quite catch the tech on DLo. "Clear path to the basket" foul, something like that? Otherwise I thought he did the right thing by going for a reach-in to prevent an easy bucket.

But overall, seemed like their defense was tighter and more active this game. That seemed to greatly fuel their big run and prevent the Nets from making it less painful than it wound up being.

I'm not too bummed. This is all found money at this point, and the boys are getting some valuable experience, here. The chances of going up 2-0 on a much better team, on their home court, had to be fairly paltry, and things regressed to the mean.

I thought it was really cool to see the Nets battle to an even game at the break, but I think this team does need some defenders and big man help.

Seems like midway through last game, they made it a huge priority to take away his 3pt opportunities.
