Brett Yormark will announce his resignation as CEO of BSE Global on Friday.

BSE Global is the outgoing parent company of the Brooklyn Nets and Barclays Center.

Joe Tsai is finalizing a $3.5 billion purchase of both the Nets and Barclays Center.

Yormark has spent 14 years with the team in this his second tour of duty with the Nets where he also worked in the late 1990s.

It kind of sucks that he's leaving just right when things are about to explode for the franchise.

Pretty frustrated that Deng Adel didn't make the Australian WC team.

Australian coach put a precedent on shooters so he opted for a couple of Australian league shooters that shot lights out during training camp, but now we're a team without any athleticism/slashing and we have like 3 'specialist shooter' types to bring on situationally that are super redundant.

We had a player get injured (Xavier Cooks) but Mitch Creek (who you are obviously familiar with) got the nod as a replacement over Adel (fwiw I think both guys should've been in the initial squad).

Pity, would've been nice to see how his game would've fared in this setting.

Oh well, hopefully he shows some signs while he's with the Nets org. this upcoming season.

I read some nonsense today on espn that had us projected at 8th seed. I feel with health we clearly a 4-6th even without Durant

Yea no way KD touches MJ legacy no matter what, that ended when he joined an already super team. But if Kawhi gets his 3rd or more with the Clippers then he's definitely in MJ category. 3 chips with 3 teams is GOAT level.

The one that is out now as 5th seed tied with Raptors with 45 wins.

our floor is 44ish wins and a top 6 seed. thats if levert and kyrie miss a ton of games, jordan falls off an enormous cliff, spencer regesses and harris plays close to 65 games then 75 games

with health we are a lock 50 win team. if everything clicks we are a top 2 seed

where the f is net sentence (brian colangelo’s RealGM burner) and prok and evo and all the other pessimistic guys who argued with me for 3 years about how Marks wasn’t going to land 2 max free agents because “oh no our cap flexibility” and “Developing G League scrubs won’t attact marque players”. i still remember those pathetic “but muh cap” arguments lmao. the people who laughed at the idea of building a culture. “but allen crabbe is overpaid”. boo **** hoo.

seriously... more like "where has Ror1997 been"

You trash me for complaining about or cap flexibility yet Marks had to pay a first rounder to get the cap to sign KD/Kyrie... not to mention the fact that Had the wizards not matched on otto porter, we wouldnt be able to sign KD/Kyrie in the first place.

Nevermind that had we signed Caldwell-pope, Bazemore, Tyler Johnson that we wouldnt be able to sign EITHER of Kyrie or KD.

Yes i complained about the cap... luckily:
-Wiz matched on porter
-Marks smartly stayed away from KCP
-Bazemore took the Hawks money instead
-portland matched on crabbe

not so luckily marks then traded for Crabbe and it cost us a first round pick to dump him. If we only knew we had the same guy in Joe harris already here we could have passed (Oh wait I told you that day 1 and got trashed for suggesting harris was the same calibur despite presenting mountains of proof).

So yea, Marks is awesome, he landed KD/Kyrie... but lets not act like that would have been possible had the guys he tried to overpay ended up here.

he overcame every imaginary obstacle you pretended was in the way. if we signed TJ or Porter we still would’ve made corresponding moves to sign KD and Kyrie. “but muh cap” is a pathetic and false argument. it’s ok prok you still haven’t learned to admit when you were wrong.

Because i wasnt wrong...

Did you miss the part about having to trade a first round pick to dump Crabbe in order to free the cap to sign KD/Kyrie? Otto porter makes 13 million more the crabbe. that is 30+ million in salary we would need to dump with no salary coming back and no picks to trade since we would have moved them in the crabbe deal.

We didnt sign any of the other guys who would have caused cap issues (KCP, etc...) if we did that makes it even tougher (impossible?) to clear the space.

we would need to include levert, harris, allen, kurucs to clear the space.

I said crabbe was a mistake. it was 100% a mistake. do you disagree? if not how am i wrong?

i said porter was a mistake, wizards matched so it didnt hurt us. if we had porter please explain how we move 30 million in salary

i said KCP was a mistake, we didnt sign him. he signed for 20 million. please expalain how we would move 30 million in salary

had we signed porter/KCP like some wanted, we would have no kyrie or KD

I admit when im wrong all the time. I was WAY wrong about D'angello russell. I was wrong about RHJ. I was wrong about Semi Ojele.

We needed to show improvement in order to get taken seriously by stars. All of those guys would have moved us in that direction. Continuing to sign guys like Justin Hamilton would not have gotten us here as quickly.

You ask how we would've dumped Porter, but Washington did exactly that: Porter for 2 young expirings with potential and a protected 2nd in a underachieving year. Why couldn't we get that same deal for Porter?

Crabbe cost us a 1st. That's by no means a killer, especially after how we fleeced Atlanta when we dumped Lin on them. Marks owed them one.

With the levert extension we are a tax team moving forward into the forseable future... we probably hit the repeater KD/Kyrie's final year. that may also be we leverts deal was 3 years and not 4.

interested to see what deal Harris gets in the offseason (3/39-45?) and if they decide to bring prince back on a longterm deal or not?

LeVert’s deal expires with most of the other big money. It’s also the year DLo’s buddies all hit FA.
