Maybe I’m crazy for thinking we can have a Dream season

Not like the warriors per say, but with our depth and if we are able to stay healthy, I could see us chasing teams out the gym to the point Kyrie/Levert can rest in the 4th, sort of like GSW did with Curry and Klay. 50 wins seems far fetched but I could see it with health. We are depenwith too many quality players. Caris is a all star player waiting to happen.

Welcome, KDS.

I agree with you, I think we can be a really really good team. I think that our system veterans need to dominate smaller roles, that will help integrate the new arrivals. I'm excited to see it all unfold! Go Nets!

I really believe if we can stay healthy, 50 games and a 3rd-4th seed is in our future. We have a easy schedule to start, too.

if we handle business and get off to a hot start, I think we'll be on pace for just that. People are underestimating this roster big time. Irving is going to put up MVP level numbers in Kenny's offense.

When I read "dream season," I assumed you meant like 60 wins or something!

Fifty wins actually sounds pretty reasonable if everything goes right (which usually doesn't happen, but still). LeVert, Allen, Prince & Kurucs-- those are the four biggest keys to that, wouldn't you say? I mean, specifically, that they could all take significant leaps this year. Other players are more of a known and expected quantity.

It's also interesting how a surprising number of pundits are suggesting the Nets will regress in terms of wins. I don't like that as a hard prediction, but I could certainly see it happening. It's possible. There's a lot of new guys stepping in to key roles this coming season, and chemistry usually takes time. Also, key players like Kyrie and CLV have to be factored as chronic injury risks.

As with last season, I look forward not so much to a certain number of wins or advancing a certain distance in the playoffs, but to overall development and setting the table for the return of KD. Then the pressure is rightfully turned way up.

Of course there's also the wildcard possibility of Durant making good progress and coming back for the playoffs. Does he have enough time to work himself in to the flow of the team, productively? It would be pretty dang cool to knock off an overdog, like the Sixers, say.

I agree it's all about health.

I think fit-wise, this team is exactly what Marks had envisioned. It will take Kenny some time to experiment with optimal lineups (best shooting, best size, etc.) but that's every team.

I noticed that too, like wut? :)

They probably meant 47-51 wins, 5 and 2 are close on a 10-key.

IDK about dream season but I do feel like a lot of people are sleeping on us. I think people are forgetting how good Dinwiddie, Kurucs, and Allen are. Both Rodi and Allen are still super young yet fans are acting like they're finished products. We realy don't need Kyrie to put up monster MVP numbers. Just like we didn't need Russell to takeover games. Yeah, it's nice but we have good players top to bottom. That'll win you a lot of games.

The only team that I think is clearly better is the Bucks. Phily also has a slight edge without KD but the rest (Indiana, Boston, Raps, Heat, etc) don't scare me at all.

I think with good health we can push for top 3 in the east. Even without KD I still can't wait for next season. Should be a wild ride.
