I'm tired already of Kyrie and KD's outspokenness.

Not trying to put them down in any way, shape, or form. They're amazing bball players, and they're gonna light up this town, for sure.

But at the same time-- ugh. Just... KD's endless, pointless Twitter battles. Kyrie's incomprehensible rants upon this or that.

"Dun follow if you dun like, dude!"

Fine...

I’m confused.

Kyrie has barely said a word to the media or social media outside of Media Day...

KD is sitting home with Achilles rehab until 2021 with no guarantee of coming back 100% as dominant or possibly the best in the game. So, he can’t be on Twitter voicing his opinion?

We had guys like Joel Embiid calling our former players “nobodies” on National TV but KD and Kyrie can’t be outspoken as Nets?

I don’t get it.

What has Kyrie done lately? I can kinda understand KD to an extend but he’s always going to speak his mind, whether it be good or bad.

Gigantes, you're better than this  Neither of them have really done anything as Nets. I think you're just ready for the season to start.

These two like to hear themselves speak. No big deal.

I'm cool with it as long as they let their play on the floor do all the talking.

KD has embraced being a Net. This is insane.

I think I might break down and shed a tear the day he finally suits up.

The thing is, Kyrie outside of interviews, has been pretty quiet and low key. KD gets into it with people on social media, fine whatever as long as he doesn't do anything foolish like cursing out a fan or something I don't care, I don't mind a little bit of trolling.

I dunno I mean gigantes would have to explain what he's seeing but so far, so good imo.

Which Kyrie rants are we talking about since he has joined the Nets? I don't even understand what prompted this...

KD has been engaged on twitter, but it's nothing harmful, I think it's actually cool that he interacts with fans and haters on twitter. To me, this OP seems like its driven by agenda, at least in regards to Kyrie who has done nothing so far.

The thing is, Marks wants that. He's gone on record saying he doesn't want a bunch yes men around here.

I'll give gigantes time for Kyrie's words. If nothing posted by the morning, thread gets binned.

With Ky I think he addresses the media in a very conversational way. He gives long answers and talks out his reasoning. In print it can read like a meandering stream of consciousness and comes across as pretentious. Partly I think the media and fans enjoy that portrayal of him as being pretentious and that's why they give full unedited quotes where they wouldn't with another player.

By contrast when you hear him speak he comes across as thoughtful and down to earth. A lot of quotes that fans enjoy rolling their eyes to the most boil down to 'don't take things at face value' and 'it's important to consider what really matters in life'. There are worse messages.

With Kev he is sensitive. Maybe that's part of what has driven him to greatness. The older I get the more I'm able to differentiate the parts of me that I can improve and the parts that just are. I'm sensitive too. I'm downright insecure. At this point I'm willing to admit that it might be baked into me. Sometimes you have to get to a point of self acceptance of a 'flaw' before you can work around it. I'm heading into the back end of my 30s and I don't have it figured out by any stretch. Fortunately for me I don't have millions of people scrutinizing what I do and say.

I hope they both enjoy their time in Brooklyn. If the price to pay is them saying some unpredictable or problematic things over the course of their tenure, let me just pick up that tab now. I'm down.

Do you say the same thing about Dinwiddie? Din is also pretty active on twitter but KD is a superstar so he is getting hate for it? Ok

Yeah, Dinwiddie actually runs his mouth too much imo haha. Dude sometimes gives that extra motivation to the scrubs on the opposition, let alone the stars.

haha yeah I remember a couple games last season where it backfired on Din. smh

However KD hasn't done anything like that, so I'm really not bothered about him tweeting.
