Finally the season is here! so excited to see some games that count. Obviously looking forward to kyrie but also for what prince/levert/deandre/temple/nwamba will do.

on the downside, cringing at what will 100% be knee-jerk reactions to either a good or bad individual performance. over under on "this guys is an allstar this year" or "___________ should be cut" is being set at 1.5

Almost gameday! Man, I'm so excited for this season... not just for the Nets but for the NBA as a whole. Really hope most teams cans stay healthy so it can be as much fun as possible.

I feel like this will be a close game tbh I feel like we still have some kinks to iron out(especially on defense) that will take about a month to fix.

With that said, the two games last night on TNT were actually really good. Competitive all around.

It feels like Towns usually gives us problems but we might have an easier time containing him now that Minnesota only plays 1 big at a time. We won't have to worry about getting killed on the boards or figuring out who to put on Towns. We should see a lot of JA on him. Keep everyone else in check and we should be in good shape.

Still expecting a slow start to the season because of the China trip + Kyrie only getting 1 preseason game.

welcome back everyone!

Excited for every new season like always, and I always say this one feels different and special... so I'll say it again, this one feels really special. Great group of guys, Kenny's expectations are clear and firmly rooted, chemistry in unreal, and we have one of the top guards in the game now.

Great time to be a Nets fan!

with Jordan here now we always have an option if we are getting killed on the boards to play him 30+ minutes and unlike with Ed Davis we dont lose a pick and roll option. Last year it wasnt so much we didnt have lineups that could rebound it was when we went to them we lost a ton of offense, shooting, and a rolling bigman. this year that shouldnt be the case.

im honestly more worried about their wings and gaurds penetrating and our Gaurds defending (kyrie, dinwiddie, levert, harris). we have nwaba and Temple but the lesst those starters and dinwiddie play the better chance for minny

Just want everyone to leave everything on the court and with our talent level we should be able to surpass last season's total.(42)

If we can stay healthy I can see us having a very interesting season.

Curious to see :

- How Kyrie slots in Dlo's old position. Dlo gave us 21/7 on solid efficiency + clutch moments. I expect Ky to be better but we'll see.
- Can Caris have a full healthy season? If so, can he take his game to another level?
- Fro is heading to year 3 which is the year that most good players make a significant leap... can he do the same? Barely turned 21.
- Will the PF spot be a problem? Can Rodi continue to show improvement? Will Prince step up on D? We know he has the offense already. Will Clax get a chance?
- Will Musa break into the rotation? How long will it take him? I think the bench unit needs another creator next to Dinwiddie but Kenny has played Temple and Nwaba for their defense over Musa. Curious to see where this goes. Musa's only 20.
- Can Joe Harris and Dinwiddie take it up another notch? They already surpassed expectations so my question is how hungry are they still?
- Can DJ give us a lift similar to Ed Davies last season? DJ seems more skilled but I think Davies plays better team defense even though he's smaller than DJ...not sure it's an upgrade impact-wise but we needed to add someone to bang with the Embiids/Nurkic/Kanters of this league.

Overall, I'll say this roster has improved across the board in terms of talent but chemistry and continuity will be an issue to start out the season. Barring injuries I think we can hit 50 wins but that's unrealistic since players always get injured so my prediction is 48 wins.

Good luck guys. youll probably win. Definitely will win if Andrew Wiggins is his regular self. If he's average, it could be a good game.
