That means it’s down to Shump, Nwaba, Pinson or a trade involving Musa. Damn.

This is assuming the player clears waivers.
This is the route you have to go if it's available. Waive Pinson, he'll clear waivers, cut Ellenson or TLC and re-sign Pinson on a 2-way.

Unfortunately we'll have to cut Ellenson or TLC and waive Pinson. I'm not letting either Musa or Rodi risk hitting waivers.

Shump and Nwaba are going nowhere.

I think this is the best solution. We all love Theo but he's clearly the worst player on the roster.
Elleson is still intriguing to me, TLC not that much.

Nobody has been able to step up as back up PF so far in the season... we have guards playing that position now(Shump/Temple/Nwaba)
Such a bummer Rodi's trajectory after a promising rookie season has been completelly derailed due to off-court issues.
I think Chandler is a vet and can stroke the 3. I think Kenny will give him a long look and more than likely earns playing time similar to shump.
Our bench could be sick: Dinwiddie/Levert/Shump/Chandler/DJ.

I think it'll be the waiver Theo route...

id cut musa... his is marginally better then pinson but neither is an NBA player and Pinson keeps things loose on the bench and has some intagible value as a cheerleader
Awful decision by marks to keep chandler over any of them to be honest

Yeah listen man I'll be heated if Chandler comes in and stinks up the gym if it means we lose either player. They both have sucked balls but they're young and Theo is a good locker room guy that everyone loves.

I can't say I'm surprised. Rodi has gotten no playing time. Plus his legal trouble.
I know he spent some time in Long Island, but I'm not sure how he did.
It's a tough business, I think he is going to end up in Europe in the near future.

If Kurucs has even minimal value, I would trade him in a heart beat.
I don't see him getting minutes and he has just been awful in limited minutes this year. Sell high.
If he comes back like this next year he will be useless.

So... am I the only fan here who's plenty skeptical that Rodi's poor start was exclusively down to his legal problems?
Now I can see that being a factor, sure, but I could equally see him wanting to be done with that stuff so badly that he wound up redoubling his workouts and efforts across basketball. (How many other escapes did he really have, anyway? Substance abuse, gambling, video games, and hookers, I guess?)
Either way, how could anyone here possibly claim to know one way or the other...?
Meanwhile, I'm recalling an analysis from earlier in the season which posited that DLo, as our regular PG last season, developed a rather uniquely effective playing relationship with Rodi. I'm not sure what site you use to look up two-man combo stats, but IIRC the Kurucs - DLo connection was unusually effective at turning backdoor cuts and other cut-to-the-basket moves to make Rodi really shine. For whatever reason (new personnel?) it just hasn't been there, this season.
In other words, we might have been giving Kurucs too much credit last season, and too little credit, this season.
FFS, just cut Pinson and try to re-sign him to a 2way. Any 3rd or 4th-string PG you can pick up for a vets minimum is going to be at least as competent. Not to mention, aren't Caris and Kyrie due back fairly soon?

They just released shumpert.
I have a feeling he'll be back soon.

I don't like waiving Shumpert, but I understand why you do it.
These young guys are the future long term and Shump is not.
Also once Kyrie/Caris come back, I doubt he gets minutes anyway. Temple has basically replaced what we thought Shump needed to give us.

For whatever reason, Nets must really like Pinson.
I'm not going to start doubting them now. Maybe they really believe he can become an elite shooter off the bench. I won't question Sean Marks.

Chandler better come in here and crush it because I loved what Shump was bringing defensively. I'm so pissed
