GT: Nets @ Pistons - 1/25/20, 7pm ET

This one will be weird.
ESPN and Vegas favor the hosts, while the moneyline somehow favors our visiting Nets. Blake has been ruled out for the season, but his absence (and Kyrie's presence) meant little in our earlier visit to Detroit. I would love to avenge one of our more embarrassing losses this season, but rather than focus on revenge, I hope the boys key in on cohesion and day-to-day improvement. Let's get into it:
ALLEN VS DRUMMOND - Recently upgraded to probable, I expect Andre to play.
PRINCE VS DOUMBOUYA - Taurean won't have too many easier matchups this season. Coming off of a respectable showing against AD, let's hope he figures out how to dominate the rookie. He needs to become obsessed with playing a clean offensive game: eliminate unnecessary dribbles, run off-ball, shoot open 3's, elevate to finish drives and limit turnovers. On D, be smart and stop helping off of your man.
HARRIS VS MYKHAILIUK - Sviatoslov should hope to one day become Joe, and Harris should "son" him in the worst way. he's GOT to start taking 3's when defenders close out on him. He seems to hate taking contact while shooting long-range, when that's the only way you're going to stop defenders from running recklessly at you. Also, he turns over the ball like crazy when he shot-fakes, either by traveling or passing frantically.
DINWIDDIE VS BROWN - It's like the Terminator, with one oversized playmaker Detroit drafted battling their former castaway. SD always has an extra gear of piss and vinegar for the Pistons, so I hope he harnesses it for a breakout game.
IRVING VS ROSE - this shouldn't be an even matchup. Somehow, Derrick has turned back the clock and looked amazing of the past 2 weeks. Meanwhile, Ky has looked very mortal since his initial return from injury. Whoever decides to defend tenaciously will win this matchup.
Our bench out-classes theirs, especially as short-handed as they are due to injuries (Griffin, Snell, Kennard, Jackson). The Nets' own injuries are no excuse in this game. Watch out for Christian Wood, I'm hoping that DJ can beat him up, and we could fight fire with fire if Nic is available.
Kenny, please fix the 4th. The Nets are the worst team in the league in that period, a stats that SCREAMS mismanagement. We can walk outta here with a sorely needed W if you'll just make the obvious late-game adjustments as they present themselves. I can't predict what those will be, every game is different. But it doesn't take a whole day to recognize sunshine.
PREDICTION: NETS 117, DETROIT 109
