So this is why Kyrie calls for post ups. Kenny needs to incorporate it more.

Kobe's impact was beyond the game. He brought out competitive nature out of you by just being around. I never been his fan or liked Lakers but this one hurts a lot. I'm not sure why but this feels like losing a close friend.

Seeing Tracy McGrady talking about Kobe and breaking down was awful. goddamn

The Athletic has written a piece on Dinwiddie and Kobe’s influence.

It was Dec. 21. The Nets were hosting the Hawks. Bryant was at Barclays Center with his 13-year-old daughter, Gianna. Dinwiddie was in the middle of a career-best stretch and keeping the Nets in playoff contention while Kyrie Irving was injured.

“You play like an All-Star,” Bryant told Dinwiddie.

“I’m trying,” Dinwiddie replied. “Thank you.”

The compliment meant everything to the Nets’ 26-year-old point guard. Dinwiddie grew up in Los Angeles and idolized Bryant. And after that December win, Dinwiddie was giddy when asked about the interaction.

“I’m a real mellow guy for the most part. Yeah, no, not with Kobe,” Dinwiddie said then. “By far my favorite player of all time. His career was basically my childhood. I was juiced. That’s why I probably missed the first 3 off the backboard. I’m not going to lie to you all.”

“He was everything to my generation,” Dinwiddie said after the game. “There’s a whole generation of L.A. kids, global obviously, but that was our childhood. The lesson of hard work and, as cliche as it may sound, the Mamba mentality, that’s part of the reason I am who I am today.

“He was everything to a lot of kids, and I was one of them.”

I hope someone is checking for him, I wouldn't even be surprised if he retires

KD is also going through it but this is why Kyrie came back home. He didn’t leave to his hotel room in some random city. He left to be with his family at home. That’s why having DeAndre and KD here are so important to Kyrie’s mental health. He just lost his grandfather and now his mentor.

I hope/am pretty certain Kyrie and KD connected. They both have strong ties to Kobe, although Kyrie’s were more well known and more personal.

I still can’t believe we’re talking about him in the past tense. It seems so surreal that he’s not with us. This will sting for a long time.

This will affect the NBA and us fans for a long time. The whole world just stopped. This reminds me of when Pac and Biggie died, but on a way bigger level. This one just hurts so bad. He was part of the generation that made me fall in love with the NBA. I'm going to get the Mamba logo tatted.

Spencer needs to keep this memory and when he goes through those moments where his confidence wavers, remember what this man told him, because he is an elite north south driver in the league and is capable of playing at a high level.

I thought this was really cool, as some of you know I enjoy manga and anime and this morning the author of the popular series My Hero Academia posted a quiet tribute to Kobe on his twitter account

He drew his series' main character wearing Kobe's sneakers. Usually the character is shown wearing Air Force 1's.

I don't get the meaning between Elijah, Spencer and 20 + 6?

He’s combining his birthday and his son’s birthday. His son was born on the 20th and Spencer’s birthday is the 6th.

2 + 6 = 8.
