Man, we're playing 5 vets and Kenny's been a head coach for 4 years. Unacceptable to run that play right after a timeout. He must've told them to burn clock. He called an overly complicated play. Didn't give us a chance.

Good game fellas. I can't believe that tip in at the last moment didn't go in. I swear those go in every single time.

Chandler is useless, cut him

Chandler was bad for most of the game, but he played good defense against Siakam down the stretch.

Actually maybe Kenny was making a specific play call for Joe to come off the double screen

I don’t get this team’s fascination with winding the clock down and taking the hero shot.

We should have got it to Caris, let him shoot, and if he misses, then play the foul game.

It's not like Kurucs and Claxton are bad defenders

I'm sad that we didn't snatch the game, but I'm very pleased with our overall performance. We have a few aggravating moments, but we hit shots, played solid D, controlled the tempo, crashed the glass and limited turnovers.

Some folks need to save this vitriol for the head-scratcher losses against bottom-feeder teams. Toronto is super-stout, especially at home. We played them as close as anyone has in over a month. Turn the page, give this effort each time and we win 21 of our last 31 games.

On the bright side, I didn't expect to win this game. A 1 point loss isn't bad.

LeVert playing well and getting into a groove is way more important than a W without Kyrie against an undermanned team. He was great. Easily could've had 7 or 8 assists. TLC and Chandler were bricking everything. Great overall performance against an elite defense.

JA and Prince getting ran off the floor defensively is discouraging. Cost us the game IMO.

This game was good for data. They'll get Gasol and Kyle back but pretty much run same thing. We know now that Din and LeVert will get theirs because they just better guard combo. We need few more games vs Raps to understand what to expect from them is only bright sides.

I'm not even mad about this loss. If we're fully healthy the ball is in Kyrie's hands at the end there. At least we didn't get blown out and Caris continues to play at the level we have expected him to.

I’d like to see how we look with Kyrie in the lineup now that LeVert is playing like this.

Allen - D: his first complete dud performance in a while, my concerns were confirmed. Smart team defense stymied. He figured out on one play that Serge was face-guarding him, and everyone else was sticking to their man because they know he is not likely to drive. He did drive aggressively, and it was successful. He needs to do WAAAAAY more of that, until teams respect him from a triple threat position.

Prince - C: I won't go in on our guy like I have previously, he didn't lost it for us. He didn't over-dribble a ton, didn't turn away a bunch of open shots. He did lose box-out assignments frequently, and his decision-making in the paint was too slow.

Harris - C: I don't mean to criticize him too harshly, but it seems more often these days that whomever Joe-sus is guarding ends up having a vintage "Joe Harris" performance, instead of Joe himself. Tonight's benefactor was Matt Thomas, who shredded Harris' defense all night. Joe gave great effort on the boards, but missed good looks and passed up better ones.

LeVert - A: this was a great night for an All-Star, let alone a mercurial on-again, off-again prospect. 37 points on 18 shots, 4-to-1 AST:TO ratio, canned his FT's and played competent D. I'm tempted to make long-term assertions based on this game, but for now, let me just enjoy the moment. He was on fire.

Dinwiddie - A: Not his best, but controlled the game and led an unselfish, ball-secure offense. FVV kinda worked him, but honestly, Spencer did better tonight than he has fared against that type of fireplug PG in the past. Baby steps.

Bench - C: Thank God good DJ showed up tonight, or we would have been completely outmatched in the post. He struggles with long, lithe bodies like Boucher and blew some defensive P&R assignments, but overall gave us very solid PT. The others gave good energy, but couldn't hit water from a boat.

Kenny - C: I give him credit, he seemed to tailor our approach to a Lowry-less Raptors. That may be d@mning with feint praise, but it's one of his biggest flaws, and at least it was better tonight. Game management is still a work in progress.

He's unplayable period. Siakam took it to him and scored on few iso plays, he's not defensively equipped to play vs physical teams and good shooting teams, he's not offensive threat of any kind. Sorry, I get the fact he's a young good guy but he ain't belong here on a team that expecting chip run.

IMO, this is the correct perspective. We played well, not perfect, and gave the hottest team in the league a real scare at their house.

I'd even go a step further, and say that this is more than we could have expected of him. I knew that having a higher usage would help bust his slump, but this past week is the best he's ever played. He's not just doing it for himself, either. Caris is putting in a shift defensively, and making his teammates better. Who knows how long it can last, but it's good to see him in red-hot form.

Frustrations aside, there were some big positives tonight. Mainly the great guard play of Levert & Dinwiddie. DJ also gave us big mins on a night where Allen was useless. And we competed hard against a top team on the road, and could have won. It was a good comeback from what was a disastrous 2nd quarter. I wish the bench could have given us more though, especially TLC, Chandler, and Temple, who all combined for 3-20 FG.

Levert has been so much better these past 3 games, hopefully it continues. Watching both Levert and Dinwiddie play well at the same time was great.

Kenny's post game comments about the last play make me even madder about it. This type of rookie coaching won't fly with Kyrie and KD playing.

This screams to me he wants to play Rodi but for whatever reasons he don't. Neither Prince or Chandler showed us anything to warrant otherwise.
