Having Tristan Thompson this time will make a big difference for Boston. this is also regular season. i dont see a blowout. this is our first real test.

Got the Saints/Vikings and this game going on at the same time, what a Christmas treat!

I agree with Proky that I don't think it's going to be a blowout, and that it should be a good test. Plus the Celtics are coming off a great grind-it-out win against the Bucks, so they should be pretty amped up. Would love to see a repeat performance of how we played against the Warriors.

Our depth is our 2nd best weapon behind the Kyrie/KD/Harris combination. Lets see how long Boston's bench holds up when LeVert, Shamet, Green, Prince and Allen start tearing them up.

This will be different than the preseason game obviously. Looking forward to it. And DJ better not be lazy. Also Spencer better stop forcing that annoying ass alleyoop with DJ. Just do it when the situation calls for it.

Have to come out and punch Boston in their glass jaw first.

Boston's tough and they're going to come out hard after that smackdown we gave them in the preseason. Last game they started Thompson and Theis together. I would LOVE to see them come out with that lineup again. I don't think they can stay on the floor against our starters.

Would love to see a blowout but likely that’s not happening. Still hoping to have a sizable advantage throughout the game although a win is a win no matter what

We have a chance to really start off 4-0 if we get a win here. This isn’t going to be easy whatsoever but at the same time, I know we didn’t use much of our playbook against them in the preseason. I’m sure the same with them as well.

This is going to be a good one for everyone including KD but I think our depth will be the test here. If we get another 20/5 game from Caris off the bench and some shooting from Shamet, Green. We will be in a good place to win. After this, we got Hornets and Grizzlies next. We could really start off strong here if we get this one with the same urgency we approached the Warriors game.

This is the first Christmas game for Caris, Jarrett, Joe and a few guys so it’s going to be interesting to see how they handle the main event prime time spotlight.

I like our chances. As others have said, Boston will be more engaged than in our preseason game.

Irving vs. Smart will be interesting for the referees. Do they side with the offensive player, or let then play through contact? I don't think that Stevens will make the same mistake of putting Marcus on Kevin, so whichever PG sets the officiating tone will decide much of the game.

I want to see Durant dominate Tatum on both ends. I believe he's shown he's lithe and explosive enough to be our best defender, and we'll need his best against Jayson. One thing that many shutdown defenders don't have against the young star is that KD can make him work on the other end.

Jaylen is the sort of long, strong and bouncy athlete that I worry about Joe guarding. The best thing that Harris can contribute is to be his typical energizer bunny self, and run tirelessly through screens and hedges for open shots. One critique I have of Harris is that, relative to other elite shooters today, he doesn't draw nearly enough fouls from beyond the arc. I'm not asking him to flop; I'm really glad he doesn't. He just has to make defenders respect his airspace. Too often, late but aggressive rotations make him pass instead of receive contact while shooting, when he could instead get to the FT line and get the opposition into foul trouble.

As strange as it sounds, Spencer may have to defend Tristan or Daniel for long stretches. They are going with a bully ball approach, so he'll either get 4 steals or 4 fouls in a hurry. Staying on the court and breaking down his man off the dribble sounds simple, but it'll be key.

DJ is barbecue chicken in this match-up, I fear. Undersized bigs who can bang and outwork Jordan tend to take him out of the rest of his game, and they have a bunch of those guys. Theis should boost his resume for free agency next summer with this game.

Our bench should outplay theirs by a large degree, and I honestly feel that Steve's coaching has been top tier just like Brad.

PREDICTION: NETS 110, CELTICS 103

30 point blowout win

Blowout win. Tristan Kardashian won't make much difference over Theis against our firepower.

I think we just to loaded with fire power for them to keep up. My mind tells me its a 15+ win BK. Line is close though I could be very wrong, or Vegas betting on gamblers to pick C's for safer bet. They did take care of Bucks. KD is a different animal though. Packing paint ain't an option with us.

The line moved to -3 Nets. Glad I got my bet in when I did even though i think our depth will cause Boston problems.

If they want to run Tristan and Theis out there at the same time, we'll be having BBQ chicken for Christmas dinner boys

I wanted Mike Breen damn it. Jones is kind of boring.

At least Burke will gush about our players though, she is real big on Spencer.

Celtics will prob make some defensive adjustments to better defend the Nets. Expect a tighter game. They probably will lso adjust their rotations so that the Nets bench doesn't destroy theirs.

Could def see this being a close game in the 4th.
