The Steve Nash honeymoon is over.
We need wins both tonight and Friday. Obviously, I think the objective is to win one game at a time and worry about tomorrow tomorrow. Atlanta may not be at full strength, and they will still be a handful. Clint is back, and were going to need our best effort from DJ and Jarrett. Kyrie embraces big time duels, so I expect him to shine in this matchup against Young. Collins can really fill up the box score, I am interested to see how well Kevin can suppress the young star. Reddish roasted Joe last season as a rookie, but Harris has defended better against lanky wings lately. I'm excited to see TLC in the 1st unit. He's earned a long look in this role, And you'll have his hands full with the savvy sophomore Hunter.
Vegas is predicting a shootout for the ages, but I think it will be a bit more of a defensive stand off. Gallo is out, Bogs is coming off the bench and as I mentioned Capela has returned, they're not going to be as fast and free-shooting as before. For us, Spencer really unlocked Kyrie's early offense, because Irving wasn't also tasked with bringing up the ball. Do they feature KD more in that role now? If not, I expect a slower pace due to ball pressure.
