Sean Marks is a sneaky dude, man. Didn’t even consider this kid. Pelle is an athletic NASTY shot blocker.

Not much data to go on... 25 games... but 1.3 blocks in 9 minutes a game is impressive.

He’s an active athletic rim protector. He gave us fits every time we played Philly last season. I remember him very well. He’s going to be a solid piece off the bench in spurts.

I can’t wait to see who else Sean adds for the next two spots. We need to add Ilyasova next.

I’m sorry this is who they could get? A twice waived player who’s only been in the league one year.

Still 2 open spots, 1 of which needs to be filled by the 30th. Lets see who this kid is before we right him off as well. we have plents of names and talent, we need a guy who fills a role. he seems athletic.

marks thinks he fits, and marks has done well with unknowns and d-leaguers so...

still room and money to get a more household name

I remember him being a solid defender, but his foul rate is absurd so hopefully he improves on that.

This is a solid pickup. Rim running, lob catching, shot blocking type center. Slightly undersized but we badly needed a lob threat since DJ is inconsistent and Perry is a below the rim guy.

A lot of fans seem to have the mindset that a guy like Jarrett Allen just grows on trees. Super easy to find. You look at the market recently and it's the exact opposite. Hopefully this guy is a diamond in the rough and flourishes in a limited role. We don't need much from our centers.

He's 6'10, averaged 1.3 blocks in 9 mins a game, and he's also a West Indian.

Philly fans think he can block shots but overall is an iffy defender who trys to block eerything and bite son every pump fake and fouls a ton. but similar skillset to allen. view him as a #3

Who the fook is that guy?

lol na but I remember him on the Sixers. Dude is good in pick and roll defending, definitely a great shot blocker and has a decent touch around the rim. He is the perfect signing for the bench right now. I'm just not sure if he can defend on the perimeter if we switch. He is still young though.

I don't think he'll disappoint you. He's just the type of Center the Nets need. Doesn't want to do anything but protect the basket and will catch lobs from Harden. You just need two of him, because he'll foul out in half of a game.
Fischella wrote:I think none of you guys that are pro-Embiid no how basketball works today.. is way easier to win it all with Omer Asik than Olajuwon.
Actually if you ask me which Center I want for my perfect championship caliber team, I will chose Asik hands down

Would have taken Chandler and Dedmon over this guy but can understand the move to bring in a more
athletic and energetic body for the RS.

Now go get RHJ

No it doesn't but I suspect that a wing defender is brought in by end of month and then the last roster spots are held for buyouts and FAs.

Pella is a capable stopgap option for us now, and he will be nice to have emergency 3rd or 4th big for us later on. (Claxon back and/or signing a big off buy-out market)

A lot of the bigger name options (e.g. Len who just signed with Wizards) aren't ok with this role.
