I hope tonight was a moment of clarity for the folks who wonder why Nash doesn't play guys like Johnson.

We need to shift away from these G League dumpster dive players that Marks loves. We have 7 NBA players on this roster and a bunch of guys that should be playing on the Long Island Nets. This is a problem

I didn't even watch the game out of protest. That's how badly I feel like we got screwed by the NBA.

Great lost. Sucks to lose but the drop coverage was excellent with DJ and even Pelle for some stretches. Some switches still cost us and we have to clear up who and what situations are for switching. But rim points were harder today on a paint heavy team. The principles do change if we have two centers and I love it.
Last thing is stop going over every screen. Going under is still a major option and should be standard. How many off the dribble shooters do we have to fear in this league and even then if that’s the shot they gonna beat us with so be it. Over with drop allows a free lane and the big to take on both the roll man and drive. It’s too much of reaction causing move. But still better than the alternative by 1000%. Still under the screen for the non Currys and Dames.

Gross game.... my thoughts

1) Nash is the worst coach in the league and its hurting us. we probably still lose with a real coach, but he puts us in the worst possible position to win and minimizes every single players talents. he doesnt use timeouts, he doesnt fight for his players with officials, he glues guys to the bench after playing well early. i dont care if he is a rookie coach, he coaches like someone who has never seen a basketball before.

2) This game just restablished that the 76ers are a fraud team. Their offense is terrible and simmons is trash in the half court. with any resemblence of a roster today we beat them by about 200. they are a complete non-factor in the east in the playoffs. we should pray we see them.

3) Pelle looked better then perry. which is all we could ask for

4) Where was shumpert? maybe play him when the other team is on a 14-0 run and we are bleeding points? or brown? or someone who can play D and bring energy?

5) Shamets shot is starting to come around. 39% in 5 february games (14/36)

6) going with real bigs like we did most of tonight will help us long term. less green at 5. more DJ like tonight. its not great, but its better then 35 minutes of small ball

The only good thing about these last two games is the fact that Shamet is starting to gain more confidence and hit his shots.

Otherwise, meh. This has been awful. We lose both Durant and Irving, and this team is not good enough to stay afloat without at least 2 of the Big 3 playing.

Having G League reclamation projects is cool and all when you're a rebuilding team that has no expectations aside from development. However, that stuff goes out the window when you have a team centered around All NBA talent.

This roster is not championship caliber. Pelle is better suited as a 3rd string big. He's not the answer.

Marks had better pull off some shrewd moves sooner than later.

And while I'm not as down on Nash as others, I feel like Marks has outsmarted himself with not only hiring Nash to try to coach a win now team, but trading for Harden without a plan in place to make sure we have adequate coverage on the glass and in the paint. I'm not saying that he shouldn't have traded for Harden, but he left this roster **** ed up in the aftermanth. I can't sit here and blame Nash for everything when this roster doesn't even have a 9 man rotation. Once you get past KD/Harden/Irving/Jordan/Harris/Green and maybe Brown, the rest of these guys are garbage.

We need actual NBA veterans on this bench, not G League trash. Marks is getting the blame from me here. He needs to fix this.

We were down by 12 late in the 4th and it felt like 30. Why did Nash concede the game so early? Anyway I wasn’t that impressed by Pelle, Shamet is shooting well lately I hope he keeps it up. Besides that there is nothing else to really talk about.

We couple rotation guys away imo. You add big like McGee, Nic can give us few min and another 3/4 and we looking like dynasty that can't be stopped.

Agree, Nash might be an issue. I'm just going game at the time right now.

Take a look at the bright side. Them boys who wanted to ship Din out looking silly right now.

Nic can really show us something. If not... We still got cash to spend.

There is not one team that beat us with big three playing.

I'll take my chances and say we will claim EC and be faves vs any team coming out WC. Its still early.
