Popp is a wizard.
The Spurs general is an iconoclast, and his team exemplifies his impact. Last I checked, they were 1st in the league in 3PT%, but one of the least frequent long range Shooting squads. In an era with space and pace, minimal defense and ISO excellence, they are one of the best teams in the West by doing the exact opposite. They LOCK UP defensively, especially on the perimeter. They swing, swing and swing some more before hoisting a shot.
An healthy Kai and Uncle Jeffy will help us tremendously. We need several triple threat weapons on the floor at all times, and we need to take pride in protecting the paint. We can do it!

It’s time to beat the streak. No excuses. I want it to end tonight. It’s been way too long.
End it tonight!

I'm at work, so watching the box score, this was my first reaction.
We need to forcibly separate Nash from Landry when he's not hitting shots, he literally provides so little else. He *seems* like a guy who can give you a bit of playmaking and defense, but he has lost that desire to be versatile, so now he's an intermittent one-trick pony.

bruce brown needs to take roberson under his wing and teach him how to contribute offensively

Hes missed a ton of wide open 3s. But basically everyone else is too.

Shamet and Roberson's play has killed whatever momentum the starters built.

I just don't get why roberson sits behind the 3pt line... ever.

Claxton is looking like everything we need right now. Might not even need a McGee if he keeps this up.
Priority would then shift entirely to an Ariza type.

Roberson is even worse offensively than I remember. 4 on 5 everytime.

Nice response.
As much as I defend Nash, I do find it weird that he's going with Roberson so much off the bench. He clearly kills our offense when he's out there, and unlike Brown, he doesn't really move well off the ball to put himself in optimal spots for a timely pass, he just camps out at the 3pt line, where he's awful.
I mean, Nash hasn't played defense-only guys all year, they've all had to prove they can contribute at least a little bit offensively...just odd that he's using Roberson so much. I'd rather see Shump out there, honestly. You at least have to guard him a little bit out at the 3pt line.
