If Harden is gonna miss some time, then I think this lineup:

Kyrie-Harris-Brown-Griffin-Claxton

should be our starting lineup. Also, not sure why TLC keeps getting minutes. Nothing against the guy, he's just not an effective player. Like he'll hit the occasional 3, but it's in addition to bricking a lot of wide open ones and playing way too reckless on both sides of the ball leading to sloppy TOs and bad fouls. Like, I don't think playing big lineups with Green at the 3 can be worse.

Hopefully Harden doesn't miss as much time as KD though. Kind of sucks that the big 3 are gonna barely have any time to actually gel with each other though.

BTW Blake was a +23, Clax was a +19. Top two in +/- tonight.

Aldridge: "I wanna start"

Claxton: "Not so fast"

The last time we made it to 1st in the East? April 1st 2003

What day is tomorrow again?

Yep, the Claxton/Griffin frontcourt should be a staple feature of this rotation. Jordan is quickly playing himself into the 3rd string.

PLEASE NASH, say Harden's Hammy is minor, not even close to Durant.

Nothing else reported yet. I think the only "good" thing was that there didn't seem to be one moment where it was obvious that he had a hamstring issue while he was on the floor.

Preciate the feedback. James has been Ironman all season, so I worry about wear & tear through the grind of multiple games. Hopefully it's nothing too serious then.

Perhaps it’s because of the Shamet injury because there is no logical way Nash could possibly keep him in the rotation when he returns and LaMarcus is inserted into the rotation.

TLC averages more fouls on shots per game than points. He has no business in this rotation going into April.

We need to add another wing player.

Our guys rallied with James Harden on the bench, We did not just roll over. Great effort in that forth quarter from everyone.

Nash just called Nic our best defender.....

For those who are wondering why Nic isn't starting and playing more minutes, Nash also explained how they are aware of his injury history and he's too important to lose (down the stretch?), so they don't want to overuse him.

Watching the Nets is much more fun when Claxton is in.
And they already are fun.

Yeah. there is no reason to play TLC outside garbage time. Green or Griffin at the 3 cant be worse. Chiozza in his place despite the size cant be worse. playing 4 on 5 might not be worse.

sucks on harden. id assume 4-6 weeks. hamstrings are the worst inseason injury. they linger and there is always 1 or 2 setbacks. but should be back for the playoffs. KD should be back to help kyrie keep us winning games

Hopefully it was a "i dont want to lose to my old team" fake injury

Kyrie put this team on his back and carried them to a win tonight. and it wasnt just with his play. he brought much needed energy and emotion. diving, scrapping, fighing for rebounds, yelling and the first pump, and encouraging guys. got huge bucket after huge bucket and then set up his teammates. the touch pass alley oop to claxton was next level. Glad to see him take over.

King: Kyrie
Knight: Blake Claxton 2-headed monster
Nash: TLC

Glad claxton got more minutes then TLC tonight at least.

discouraging to come out with such an awful start vs an awful team after having to continue to gut out lasts econd wins over awful team.

I'm hoping the Harden stuff was actually precautionary and not some 6 week thing.

Kyrie was incredible today. His intensity kept us in the game when we were lifeless until it rubbed off on the team. Just a beautiful game.

Claxton was a monster. His defense is ridiculous. IDK what more to say about it. Glad his offense came around today. Outside of his usual PNR stuff, he was SUPER active on the offensive glass.

Joe is just a baller man. You can sense how he steps up when a ball handler goes down. He finds a way to score and attack the defense more aggressively. Those shots at the end brought a tear to my eye. Zero chance he was missing those.

Blake has been REALLY impressive. Him and Claxton together is a great combo. Really impressed with what he's bringing to the table and I was a big doubter of his coming in. He's not forcing anything. Really active on defense. Hustling hard.

DJ was tough to watch. I've been defending him here recently but it seems like he's playing himself into a situational role with the team. If a team has a center that can kind of shoot, he's unplayable. If there's a good PNR guard on the floor, he's unplayable. Today we even tried switching everything and it was still a disaster. I'm 100% sure he can help us but it might have to be on nights where we play guys like Zubac or post up centers like Embiid.

TLC minutes just need to stop. The guy is playing himself out of the league. He has the simplest role in the league for a wing and he can't get it done. Tyler Johnson isn't setting the world on fire but you never hear anyone complain about him because he makes good decisions and plays within himself. TLC makes me want to really apologize for all the Shamet slander early in the season.

Annoying that we were down 18 but this was a good W.

We need these kind of wins. Blake and Claxton and of course Kyrie were awesome. Start LMA and finish with the alchemist. Hamstring pulls are graded I pray it’s a 1.
