Rivalry? I mean if they keep that same team, definitely. But it’s going to be hard to do that.
But we’re going for the past champs – the Lakers. They were the ones who won the championship. So, you’ve got to give respect to them.
Obviously, Brooklyn has a lot of talent. But at the end of the day, there’s only one ball and you’ve got to play defense, too.
-Ben Simmons

KD/Blake status still not updated.
TJ out, Chiozza out, Harden out.
Kyrie undetermined but nets updated him missing yestardays game from "personal reasons" to "Family matter". if his kid or wife is having complications id assume he out.
Not sure who would run PG tonight. based on second half of the wolves game id assume shamet/brown?
Shamet | Harris | Green | Claxton | LMA
Brown | TLC | Johnson | Perry | DJ

If we are without our big 3, I want to see this team fight tooth and nail. Nash needs to have them out for blood.
You look at Vogul, he has had the lakers playing competitive every night without Lebron/AD. Nash needs to get the same hunger and swag from his guys. get them to play with a chip on their shoulder.
Claxton/DJ have basically been out of the rotation/reduced to scrub minutes. they should already be hungry need to fan those flames
Alize Johnson needs to prove his worth, he should be hungry too
No reason we should see anything but 100% max effort from shamet/tlc/LMA/Harris/Green, etc
i dont expect a win, or even a close game. but it is telling if nash can get these guys up or not

Nash gotten the guys up for plenty of games where we were down a lot of talent.
This is a different story. If we're playing with no PGs + no KD - we'll have zero ball handlers against a team with Simmons/Thybulle/Green. Those guys destroy players that can't handle the ball with pressure.
I expect us to have a TON of trouble scoring and a Philly blowout. No shame in that. We're down 3 stars, 2-3 rotation players, and our emergency PG. On a back to back where we had to travel from Minnesota to Philly.

Like i said, i dont expect a win or it to be close. we can lose by 100. but guys giving up or not fighiting because we are short handed cant happen. interested to see how we come out
we beat them earlier this year with no Kyrie/KD, i expect similar effort (but not outcome).

KD, LMA, Harden and Blake all out.
Just a scheduled loss here. Hoping to keep it respectable but it could get ugly if Kyrie isn't back. We simply are too shorthanded

FWIW we did beat them with none of the big 3 in the first game. I know we had levert/allen that game but we have Claxton/LMA now who we didnt have then.
76ers may look past us if everyone is out.
i think we still would have a punchers chance without kyrie. with kyrie we could certainly beat them

This back to back really **** us over.
KD probably plays and so does Blake if not for that.
I really don't get what postponing it one day was supposed to do to help social justice. I think its stupid that they made them do that.

"screwed us" seems harsh. this game is being enormously overblown for its importance.
as far as postponing it, it seems unanimous that players/coaches/executives all agreed playing the day it happened was not right.

Kyrie is playing at least, but I don't have much enthusiasm about this.
Also, Cheese broke his hand, which is a pretty significant hit to our PG depth.

Our rotation will be Irving, Brown, Harris, Green, Claxton, Jordan, Shamet, TLC and Alize. We are going to get pounded and there isn't anything Nash can say or do to change this fact.

This condensed scheduling has been an absolute braindead move by Adam Silver.

Terrible news on cheese. Surely we have to think about bringing a PG in at the expense of TLC. there is just no one left standing.

Yeah he was low-key valuable for the regular season. he gave us solid 2-way play when guys are out. he has stepped up when needed.
Kyrie gives us a much better chance to win. He has in general come back from a missed game with a vengence.

Read back to what i was talking about. i was looking for hunger/effort, not us getting a W.
Less cocnerned about that with kyrie playng

We might have to waive Cheese in my view.
With our lack of wing depth I'm not waiving TLC.
I would sign a new PG.

id think they woudl just release chiozza. or get a roster exception to replace him.
I'd bring in isiah thomas or napier for a 10-day

Glad they are holding KD out. a week from now when people are less emotional about a 76ers matchup they will be level headed enough to realize this is the obvious decision.
