We need to sign a true 1 guard. Offense just doesn't look good with Shamet at the point. Honestly I'm kind of surprised we don't use Griffin as a point forward since that was a role he played in Detroit.

Good finish to the quarter.

I need to see Kyrie and KD start dominating

Man, anyone else notice how much better we looked defensively when Claxton came in for DJ? He came in with like 4.5 minutes to go, and the Hornets scored 8 points the rest of the quarter. After scoring 27 points in the first 7.5 minutes.

And Claxton didn't even play that great defensively, he picked up 2 fouls and the Hornets still got some good shots. But at least he tried and did something out there defensively. DJ just stands there. People need to stop acting like DJ is usually useful...I can count on one hand the amount of times this season he's given the effort we saw in the LAC game.

Charlotte is begging for the Nets to take the lead but we are making some terrible passes.

Claxton being aware of his defensive potential and saying he wants to become DPOY is awesome to hear. Go for it young man!

And all of a sudden Charlotte can't buy a basket. Claxton is already an All-NBA caliber defender as far as I'm concerned, his defensive impact is enormous.

Green's killing us with his lack of finishing touch tonight.

Not trying to downplay Nic contributions. But it was Nic along with the second unit. At the beginning of the first the Hornets were shooting lights out. DeAndre is doing well on both ends.

I think Harris, DJ, and Green have been god-awful defensively this game and have pretty much singlehandedly provided Charlotte with the majority of their offense tonight. Like good god.

I think Green in general gets a lot of his bad defense hand-waved away and he's still somehow called a good defender. He's thoroughly average with a lot of low effort and low IQ plays.

I strongly disagree. I think DJ has been a major defensive liability this game, in addition to Green and Harris. I also think Durant has had a bad defensive game too. He's not boxing out, he's not picking up the ball, he's missing rotations.

Effort level from the starters has been garbage.

LMA was a huge loss for us, now we gotta deal with DJ's lazy, inconsistent ass every game.

Absolutely, it has been a night and day difference in effort between the starting lineup and the bench unit. The bench unit has very little offensive talent but they were fighting hard to cut the lead. Starters come back in, and Hornets start scoring at will again. It's utterly pathetic defensive effort, and at this point of the season, I'm quite frankly sick of it.

DJ was honestly really good defensively last game. I thought he had turned the corner.

I don't get why his effort is always up and down.
