Kept waiting for Chris Paul to go supernova down the stretch and it never came. Ky and surprisingly Blake did a good job frustrating and bottling him up.

Blake baited Ayton onto the pine. Some bigs test your heart, others test your composure.

Prokorov wrote:Great win vs. a top team. Thoughts...

1) Kyrie made it a point to dominate. After a stinker shooting last game he was laser focused. didnt matter they were playing an elite defense. Chris Paul tried to body him and tried all his dirty cheap BS and Kyrie just gave him buckets all night. His first Quarter was Peak Kobe level. just being an assassin. 9 FTs in the first quarter. he was on a mission.

2) KD is a cheat code. Like he can get a shot whenever he wants with minimal effort and doesnt miss. He had like 8 points on 8 shots and 5 minutes later your like dang KD seems rusty and then they show the graphic and its 24 points on 12 shots. he just quietly piles it on. Was great to see CP3 try and be a pest. KD son'd him.

3) Blake playing the dennis rodman role. getting in guys heads. someone said it perfect earlier... Villain blake is the best blake. Hit some big threes as well. timely buckets, timely charges. put his fingerprints all over this game.

4) You can just feel the impact Mike James has. he has a "buzz" to him. he didnt do much stat wise and again missed FTs/layups but he has an "it" thing. like you can just feel a 14 points in 4 minutes stretch coming for him. plays steady and confident. I think he is going to end up being a great addition.

5) Love that TJ is back. He gives us solid 2 way play and another 3 point shooter if shamet is off. hopefully he can stay healthy.

Another game vs. a top defense where we score 130 in our sleep. we can NOT be slowed offensively. the league is on notice.

Mike James adds another guy that can get past his man and into the paint. It's a question of when, not if, an offensive explosion is coming.

There is Noway anyone in the east can compete with this team in a 7 game series. I think the only team in the league that can make it a series is not the lakers but the Clippers given their efficiency on both sides of the ball and even then it’s going to be a push.

The Nets biggest competition is health at this point

Sobering reality kicked in to the rest of them haters. That's just having one of the top ten players.

Kyrie does things on another level when teams can't single him out. Assassin to pull it simplistically.

Joe and Shamet put the rest of the league on notice that they not just 3 point shooters. They both can do a lot of things that'll make teams stay faithful. Cant leave them open or fall asleep.

Blake has big mouth, dude talks trash with best of them. Everyone knows what he can do.

Was nice win last night, seemed so effortless to the point haters stayed silent. They know what's coming, they all like one pointing out Harden ain't even back :). As it been pointed out, only injuries can stop this team.

This team is just ridiculous man. Just beautiful basketball. Phoenix is a really good defense and they had no answers. What are you supposed to do when Kyrie, Shamet, Harris, KD are on the floor? Center doesn't even matter at that point, the spacing is just ridiculous. Shamet and Harris move so well off the ball too. It's not like you can just zone in on the stars.

Part of this is cause of injuries and all that but the coaching staff has done such a great job of giving all the role players confidence. Everyone just knows their role and brings it 100% whether they play 5 minutes or 25 minutes.

I don't think the clippers would put up much resistance. They rely on forcing teams to beat them at a jump shooting contest and forcing teams to go small. Problem is we thrive small and no one can beat us in a jump shooting contest. then you have that PG shrinks in the playoffs and in general is an emtpy stats player who wont defer to Kawhi.

They also rely on their stars shutting down your stars, but as we have seen, Kyrie has no issue abusing kawhi or PG (historically, he has OWNED kawhi). And which of the big 3 isnt guarded by Kawhi or PG3 is going to go off. KD basically made Kawhi invisible just standing in the corner while Kyrie abused everyone else.

The teams that scare me are tough teams with good coaches. if we lose, it will be because a team grinds us to 7 games and their coaching makes the difference. like say we play boston. we blow them out game 1. then stevens adjusts they win game 2 then surprise us in game 3 cause we dont adjust. we win game 4/5 to go up 3-2 think its over then they steal a win with more adjustments.

game 7 is anyones game.

I dont want to get into a back and forth on Nash but anyone who thinks that isnt at least a small concern in a long series vs. elite coaches is being a bit naive.

otherwise, its all down to health.

Yea, these guys are great but when you have multiple on the floor they unleash a new level of eachother. if you cant double kyrie or have 5 guys as a team helping on him, you cant stop him. even more so for KD. they double KD he swings it to kyrie and its a 1 on 1 abuse for a bucket. hell you get KD the ball with a guy right on him and he drains a 3 lke the dude aint even there

This has been a season long trend that frankly, no one is talking about. We have faced elite defenses and are still dropping 120+ on 60+ TS% as a team. Our stars have faced elite defenders (Smart, Kawhi, Simmons, Bam, Giannis, Jrue, etc...) and they still drop 30+ on 60+ TS%.

There have been a lot of Big 3 teams in history and even super duos like Kobe/Shaq/ but not team ever has had a pair of top 3 three-level scorers (Kyrie/KD) with Harden being an elite Two-Level scorer and the best playmaker in the league.

It would not be crazy to say this trio stacks up to if you teamed magic, jordan, and bird on the offensive side of the ball.

You cant force them to score outside, because they all shoot the 3. you cant force a drive because not only can they all get to the hoop but they are all elite finishers with KD/Harden being elite getting to the line. You cant force a post up because all 3 are elite post players. you cant double all 3 because that would require having 6 defenders on the floor. You cant slow them with an elite defender because in isolation elite offense beats elite defense every time.

Again, the fact that we have a 1.5 game hold on 1st place with the amount of injuries that we have had should scare the piss out of the rest of the league. This team isn't even at its full potential yet the Nets walked out there and slapped Phoenix with KD casually coming into the game off the bench and dropping a 30 bomb.

Only thing they can talk about. There's a lot of salt going on, they still can't get over it. Two years went by already, two years  . You'll have to put BSPN and Atlantic division on suicide watch if we going to become a dynasty.

Anthony Davis:
4 points in return
"Just trying to find a connection with teammates"

KD:
33 points in his sleep in return
"its like riding a bike"

But somehow its the nets that need to worry about chemistry and health?

I love how nash has handled restricted minutes in this manner. its genius. i guess its easier to do when you have kyrie, but either way it just makes so much more sense

Nobody wants to play for his stupid team. I really hope he enjoys that First Round exit.

The Knicks have won 9 in a row and are barely clinging to a playoff spot. The Nets are in first place and half the roster hasn't been available all year.

Stephen A is a tool who doesn't remember what he said yesterday.

No TLC means that our depth at the wing is back to normal.
