Giannis undercut compilation

When the play happened in game 4, I was in the camp of believing Giannis did so unintentionally. After all, a player of that statue has very little to gain by doing "dirty work" himself. I was more upset at the (lack of) officiating on that play.
However, I stumbled across this video on Youtube. After watching this compilation of him putting foot underneath jump shooters, most of which appear to have taken place in recent years. It is hard to believe that his acts were unintentional. Either that or he has so little awareness on court that he kept on sticking out his foot to where the shooter would land.
This is my first thread and please let me know if it's inappropriate and lock it if so. I won't post this on GB as it will surely be out of control.

yea f*** this guy. Blake needs to put his feet under him next game. This is more than once Giannis has done this and it looks purposely done on some of these.

You can't do this that many times and still be a decent human. Giannis is not a friend of basketball. At a certain point, even if it's not intentional, it is WILLFUL recklessness. CHANGE YOUR FKING BEHAVIOUR!

The league won't do sh*t cause he's a two-time MVP.
They'll take that video evidence and toss it in the trash can, especially that weak punk Adam Silver.

He's an extremely emotional player and when be gets worked up he does dumb things... It's also exactly why he can't be relied upon in the clutch.

So in 3 out 5 "incidents" he does the Bruce Bowen double step foot shuffle, where he has already closed the distance enough to challenge the shot but he takes another small step to enter shooter's landing space, those definitely look dirty. The funny thing is that the only play he got a flagrant for is the Wizards' game where he only takes one long step and it seems his momentum unintentionally takes him inside the landing space. Intentional or not, he didn't give Kyrie any landing room, should have been a flagrant at minimum but was no call instead. This vid needs to be shared enough so the Kyrie play doesn't look like just a one off incident and Giannis gets some reputation for undercutting.

Agree, it's time for fans to realise just who he is with this stuff.
Real bummer for me, since I've historically been a fan of his, and he's got a neat backstory and seems like a swell guy in person. But a dirty player is a dirty player.
Can you imagine the Nets pulling out the series, but Giannis pulling this shizzle on Durant, too? I'd think that could be even more dangerous than the Kyrie play, based on KD being so slim and long.

The Kyrie play was the dirtiest because he literally under cut him, look at where Kyrie's leg is when he lands. That should have been a flagrant foul.
Giannis is clearly reckless. And then every time he doesn't understand why he gets called for a foul

He got many people fooled that he is this nice guy, but he is a dirty player, no doubt about it.

I still can't believe some people on this board were saying Giannis did not undercut Kyrie on purpose. Clear as day!

Kyrie literally could have fallen on his head with the way Giannis was positioned

My fan theory is that this is something he was specifically coached to do, because even if it doesn't cause injury, it still makes jumpshooters or players up in the air become more skittish and distracted around him.
Going by the video, it looks like technique-wise Giannis has been trained to slide under the jumper's base, while doing everything he can to look in another direction and give the impression that it's just 'bodies naturally drifting in to each other in the course of a basketball play.' Sort of a sneaky evolution of sh-t that players like Bruce Bowen used to pull.

Giannis knew what he was doing and it changed this series completely, ulitmately resulting in Milwaukee getting to the conference finals.

If you can't beat 'em, injure them and don't even get called for a common foul.

It's hard to explain really, as it wasn't a closeut, and it wasn't a box out either, the shot was going in from a close range with Kyrie going down and Giannis just ran into his space. He wasn't even close to Kyrie initially. That was just a purely intentional dirty play and refs for some reason didn't do nothing about it. This was even worse than Zaza dirty play because he was atleast closing out the shot by Kawhi.

Let it go y’all. The series is over.
Let bygones be bygones. The faster you accept what happened and move on, the better.
To be honest, I thought having an entire thread on this unnecessary, but I left it open so people would have a dedicated space to talk about something that was obviously going to be a sore spot for the duration of the series.
Now that the series is over, this thread will be closed.
Let’s go through the five stages of death for our title aspirations and move on.
