Let's goo! Love this move. Shamet replacement with tons of big game experience and has zero fear. Fits the team like a glove.

If we can get another big with whatever asset we get from the Din S+T, we're golden.

my fave part of this is robbing the lakers of a MASSIVE need.

Great locker room guy, teammate, and a microwave sniper off the bench. Mills is an upgrade on Shamet, even if he's undersized. He's going to thrive in Brooklyn with the spacing.

Theres our MLE. Team is complete only nit pick would be a big athlete someone like a nance Jr. type. maybe the dinwiddie move adds that. but that would be a luxury.

Team is rock solid. Mills isnt just a 6th man, he helps get wins when harden or kyrie sit out for rest/injury

Didnt realize mills did so much damage off ball... maybe because he always destroyed us on ball. he can clearly catch and shoot. maybe we dont need another wing shooter to replace shamet

Mills is an excellent Shamet replacement offensively. He's another great catch & shoot threat who shoots high % on open 3s and his 3pt attempt rate is very high. He will thrive here.

The fact that he can do both (shoot off the dribble and catch & shoot), makes me drool. He'll definitely excel here!

I never doubted he would thrive.... i doubted he filled a need with so many more needs. the guy is high bbiq, a great teammate, and super skilled. so even if we signed him and there were bigger needs id always be happy about it, as is said in other threads.

but when the news we were in on him broke, we had no green or shamet replacement yet. didnt address rebounding or defense, and brown was also still unsigned. singing a 6 foot scoring PG seemed like a misplaced MLE... at a time when PJ tucker was still unsigned....

But looking deeper once the mills deal was official, he is much more of a shamet replacment then i had thought/assumed/my small sample viewing showed me. he scores a ton on catch and shoot and alot on the off-balance variety. i thought we needed reddick or forbes or even TLC back as emegency depth but mills checks that box off for sure.
