Brooklyn: Jordan/Carter/A. Johnson for Bledsoe/Ibaka
Cleveland: Love/Sexton for Morris/Kennard/Carter
LA: Bledsoe/Morris/Kennard/Ibaka for Love/Jordan/Sexton/A. Johnson
I think that we can leverage the cap savings of the Dinwiddie TPE, in order to position ourselves better financially for the future, while adding key ingredients for the present. Serge is an FoK just like DeAndre, and could actually play role for Nash once he gets healthy. Eric can defend well, and thrives when he isn't asked to carry an offensive load.

Nothing about the deal I proposed, not a scintilla of feedback? Alright, I'll play along...
I assume you saw the rumors about Nance, Cleveland is looking for an elite young defensive swingman in return for him. Last I checked, we don't really have a ton of those lying around our roster.
He would be nice to have, but Joe Harris would be the only thing we have that would bring Cleveland to the trading table. They would probably want Claxton to be involved as well, but they don't want either of those players for themselves. They would probably see if Toronto would take both of those two for Anunoby, or Phoenix for Mikal. But those are going to be immediate no's as well, because everyone wants versatile 2/3's. The teams that have them, keep them.
If Cleveland doesn't get this, they won't move Larry. It's not worth us pursuing, we are not going to trade Joe and several other assets for him.

Serge looks to be done for, and Bledsoe is not a good fit here.

1) Jordan isn't being traded. that seems pretty clear. that shouldnt matter a ton since he has negative value in a trade. although his salary helps match
2) Clevand provides value and gets nothing in return other then dumping love. who they can just buyout. Sexton is likely worth a ton more then role guys and a salary dump.
3) Nets give up a negative package and get back nuetral/positive players
4) LA makes out like a bandit. dumping bledsoe offsets taking on jordan/loves deals and they land sexton, a huge upgrade, 22 and on his rookie deal.
Cleveland says no. if there is a deal, they cut the nets out for sucking value and providing a negative package. it also add a big salary in bledsoe who has no role and would need to be re routed. all this to get a declining ibaka.

you propose a ton of trades where the nets give up nothing for peanuts but dimsiss a nance trade cause of what we would give up? seems off brand for you

Re: Trade Idea
Nance is one of the best value contracts for a prime veteran role player in the league right now. We're not offering any of the Big 3, or Harris, or Thomas or Claxton for him. So, 28 teams can offer better. My trades return reclamation projects like Bledsoe and Ibaka, vets who could for and contribute by certainly aren't hot commodities.
Time and again, I've explained that the value exchange is in the money exchange. Also, Jevon is a positive value asset.

Re: Trade Idea
I think the trade is a no-go simply because Sexton, while easily the most valuable asset for any team in the proposal, gets traded for no one of comparable value. He's only 22 with plenty of time to improve. I don't see Cleveland trading him for a package of that quality.

Your point is well taken, BUT when you listen to the scuttlebutt around the league, Cleveland found Collin's trade market extremely tepid during the draft. He's looking for a max deal, but I don't think he can take a team anywhere as the best or 2nd best player. He's a very talented scorer but his value in a walk year isn't where his raw numbers would suggest.
We don't need to go down a rabbit hole here with 34 replies about a guy who doesn't even play for us, you made a clever point and I answered it.
