No standings because I don't want to take the time to project that. I think the top three will be between, Bucks, Heat and Nets

If the Nets get Kyrie Irving back, I expect them, with even two out of three stars to win it all because you will almost always have at least two of three available. If there is no Ky, and we are counting on KD/Harden, it will be much harder because of durability/health. If KD goes down, Harden will have to be Rockets Harden and vice versa with KD. The Nets need a third star; with that being said, I am predicting Bucks to win the East if Ky doesn't play, if Ky plays, Nets win. The West is a toss up and I like what the Suns, Jazz and Warriors have done. I expect Jazz to come out of the West( I am not sold on the Lakers).

Bucks-Jazz = Bucks win ring( No Ky)
Nets-Jazz= Nets win ring( with Ky)

I think we will win the east if the big 2 stay healthy (which I believe they will). We have a deeper team this year with a very important vet presence. Mills, Aldridge, Griffin, and Millsap joined this team for only one reason - to win a chip. This can’t be measured in a stat sheet. We also added a vet defender in Johnson which I think will pay big dividends when things get scrappy. Resigning Brown and adding Bembry also helped, both are committed on the defensive end. Simply put we are a much more balanced team. I will call I it now, Claxton is about to break out this year on both ends of the court and Harden is going to demand he gets playing time. This is what has been built around 2 of the best players in the league. I mean we know Durant almost beat a fully healthy Bucks team on his own. If Harden was healthy we would have won last year. Harden healthy is an MVP caliber guard every year. We got this.

I was quite bullish on our chances to cruise through the regular season with 3 All-Stars. Even when we rested 2 of them, the other star could lead our talented supporting cast to victory more often than not. Absent that, understanding that we should not run Kevin and James into the ground before the playoffs, we're going lose some cringe-worthy regular season games.

Assuming we do not trade for a replacement star, assuming our prodigal star does not return, I see us going 56-26 and barely finishing 2nd in the East. We could easily slip to 4th, as Philly and Miami will probably also have win totals in the 50's.

I've come to grips with this. As long as we remain relatively healthy and harmonious, we are built to thrive in the postseason. I'm going to enjoy this season like very few in our history, and I'm confident that I'll be proud of the outcome.

Without Kyrie Miami would be tough.... even with Kyrie thats a long tough series. Without Kyrie they have the defenders not only 1-for-1 but all 5 guys could switch and not have a mismatch.

Lowry - PJ - Butler - Bam is insane defensively. and offensively they should be top 5 as well with Lowry there now. We CAN beat them without kyrie, but i think its a coin flip, maybe worse considering the strong coaching advantage

Philly is not some jaugernaut and not built for an 82-game season. Simmons was just suspended and its over for him there. they didnt get any better in the offseason and Embiid will miss games especially with a bigger load. I think that 50-52 wins is their ceiling and i can see mid 40s if embiid misses time.
