You won't get fancy memes, gifs, music or other embedded media from me on game threads. Just a block of thought rot thicker than government cheese.

The Pelicans host our (Blue Collar) boys this Friday, and wow have things unraveled for New Orleans. You could say, that things have gotten a little difficult in the Big Easy.

Zion is out until early 2022, if GM David Griffin's pattern of smokescreen continues. Brandon has also missed their past 6 games, though he hopes to play tonight. Jonas has beasted in a throwback B2B #1 option role, though unsurprisingly this approach has not yielded many wins. In fact, they are 1-11, the worst record in the league. New head coach Willie Green has struggled out of the gate, and their young guards' scoring woes have made ex-Pel Lonzo look like a sharpshooter. On the bright side, they have young, athletic perimeter players. Nickeil can be an electric scorer at times. Devonte is a streaky sniper and a known Nets nemesis. Kira is a blur in the open court. Herbert and Trey have hit the ground running as versatile 2-way rookies. They desperately need a W for vibes, and if we give them life early, they will wear us out late.

Fortunately for us, Kevin is in no mood to suffer fools this season. James should be able to get by anyone who guards him; let's hope he can suck in the defense and kick it out to our corner shooters. Joe has to dominate these types of matchups, and should get his shot off with ease. Bruce is weirdly less effective against these rebuilding teams, and Nic is back; perhaps we give him some welcome-home PT???

Just handle business and don't play with your food. Go Brooklyn!

Here's hoping Harden's conditioning and game continues to progress back up to MVP levels, and Blake finally snaps all-the-way out (not just once every few games) of his shooting slump... Either BG2 is struggling to adjust to the new Wilson balls more than the other players, or it's the stuff Kyle Korver makes him do during shooting drills that's negatively affecting his 3P% for the moment -- sort of a "it's gonna get worse before it (eventually) becomes better" kind of thing for Blake.

Knowing Nash, Nic is unlikely to immediately see any significant PT, if at all (too many 'bigs')... But if he can consistently impress in the few minutes that might be given to him, then he just might make it back in the regular rotation before this road trip is over... I wouldn't hold my breath for that, though.

Losing to a 1-11 team would be very much on brand for last years team... so far not the case this year (more depth/more dogs). But im not conivnced yet so...

We need to put together a run, NO is just hanging around. Graham is a Nets killer for sure

I agree with the halftime analysis. We need a better bench contribution they have relied way too much on LMA and Harden running it. I know they are new but without Harden it just isn’t working. This is showing we need a legitimate ball handler unfortunately Mills is more of a scorer from 3 but only when it is set up for him and he’s good with running plays in a defined role.

I thought Isola just made a good point, if our shooting % comes down we are going to have to put it together on defense.

We need another scorer off the bench.

Harden is shooting much better but still taking it slow and being primarily a distributor. He’s playing great this game though.

Harden is really starting to look like his old self. Just that split second pause in the air and the body control. Another amazing performance......
