I Love Harden and no matter what happens im thankful for his time here....

But it s hard for me to envision that 1.5-2 years from now he hasnt put on weight lost another half step and his 55M per year contract being the hottest meme around town.

Kyrie obviously has his availability and predictability issues but at the very least you can count on him to stay in shape, have his game age well and he is 3-4 years younger then Harden.

Kyrie only decides to take “personal” time off during the year and go to birthday parties etc. There is also this mandate thing that prevents him from playing half the year. His availability and all around desire to play the game is a huge concern and that’s why a team won’t touch him

Kyrie missing a few games after there was an insurrection is not the end of the world.

The mandate is temporary. Kyrie will be full time.

Will Harden after stop being fat, lazy, out of shape, and a drama queen? Unlikely.

He literally led MVP race last year and carried us until he got hurt. Last thing I'll doubt is Harden dedication to win chip.

Bigger question is, how badly Kyrie relationship been damaged?

It would be funny if nothing happens.

Media is having a fun week. They needed this to generate money. WTF.

Nope he didn't. If you read the article, it says that arena's still have the mandate.

New York City will maintain its citywide mandates that require proof of vaccination to enter restaurants, theaters and arenas.

No one said otherwise, we know that this doesn't directly affect arenas.

For how long though? I expect it to end by the end of March tbh.

Lead epidemiologist say Omicron is result of vaccinated people. NYC at 78-80% and keeping hospitalization numbers at stable capacity.

I'm exhausted tbh of this pandemic and glad it's coming to it's end.

Windrem made a good point. The current NYC Health Commissioner is still DeBlasio's guy. He gets replaced in March. It's unlikely anything significant changes before the new guy takes over. Adams' selection is an expert in mental health, so odds are he may have a very different perspective on mandates. Tomorrow is the only other potential action date. Unvaccinated municipal workers face potential layoffs beginning tomorrow. It doesn't seem like Adams is willing to budge yet, but there is a lot of mounting pressure.

States have been repealing mandates, but major cities have not seen much movement yet. I'd be surprised if NYC is the first.

Mandate will be gone soon. how soon is the only quesiton... march? april? may?

They certainly will lift if by the summer, when more people are outside and they want the tourism commerce.

At this point its more a political decision then a health decision. Kids under 5 can now be vaccinated. We are as protected as we are gonna get.

One thing that surprises me is Harden didn’t get to muscle the changes we needed to the roster. The others muscle moves were clear. Kyrie took off. Durant said don’t complain about it. I mean I guess Harden being like this not working calls out Marks roster construction specifically and he couldn’t have that.

Because he knows, and we've mentioned this for weeks now... the assets arent there to get what you are asking for.

Sir. Sir. Again. We see things completely differently. You don’t think rebounding is important. Nor do you believe spacing is more than your 3/4 players. You views on basketball boggle me. I certainly never seen what you believe in win. But more power to your belief in the team as an entity.

Rounding isnt important. all 30 NBA teams agree. It is why PFs no longer exist and 7 footer sightings are almost as rare as the lockness monster.

Regarding shooting, I think you need 3 shooters ideally at all times. you can certainly get away with 2 shooters if they are both 0ff-ball players. 4 shooters is elite spacing. it has a huge advantage, but almost no one has the ability to start 4 shooters and few teams can put 4 shooters on the floor consistently.

Man teams start 2 shooters.

Sir. Sir. Why would stretch fours mean rebounding isn’t important? Ugh. What’s the contenders that don’t rebound well? I’ll help you out the Suns are the only team not in the top half and they missed Ayton plenty. Regardless of twin towers being out of style no team wants to give up extra possessions. That’s a wild take. Boggles me for sure.

Sir. Sir. Warriors are probably the only team that doesn’t start with 4 out 1 in look but certainly have the capability. and even 5 out. Depending on how you feel about Dray it’s always 4 out. Which contenders are playing a 3-2 look? As you said the PF is Nessy. I don’t know the teams or games you are watching. Jazz, Suns, Bucks, Heat, Nuggets, Clippers, Mavs etc. have all made sure their perimeter is exclusively shooters. It’s how the league is. You clearly only believe spacing involves specialist. Which I assure is wrong. But nevertheless we again have vastly different beliefs in basketball.
