I dont think it works with Nash as coach. He isnt smart enough to figure it out or be creative. He would just run iso ball and complain about spacing when we struggle on offense...

I mean, this is a legit quote from nash from when KD/Harden were playing and healthy "We have to win with defense, there is no other option"

This with a guy who started Harden, KD, Mills, and LMA.

I think simmons can work, but it requires someone who understands basketball

now we're laughing LOL

Windrem doesnt have real sources... but this is the kind of talk that leads one to believe a deal is at the least possible.

The first two points are known/anticipated.

The Kyrie extension is a possible hurdle.... if he balks at the extension to ensure a trade like this etc... pissed off Ky fans(count me in) would have even more anger towards him if the deal fell apart due to that not coming thru.

I doubt there would be an issue. I mean, he can get out of a deal/force a trade just like harden if he wanted. Its not like he wants to be somewhere else. He was ready to sign before the vaccine thing happened and marks took it off the table

Yeah, finding an actual coach would do wonders for y'all too. Still bewildered by that hire.

Give them Bruce Brown or Jevon Carter or both as well....

Our Duke needs more playing time anyways

Nash understands basketball. Did you forget his Suns days? such a smart basketball player and coach. It's not his fault the NBA was dominated by Spurs w/Duncan, Parker, Ginobili, Mavs w/Dirk, and Kobe's Lakers when Suns were making their run. In todays NBA that Suns team rings easily imo. The Suns constructed now w/CP3,Ayton and Booker play smart and are dangerous like that Suns team was w/Nash and Amare.

This is encouraging, because Simmons/Curry/1st is the minimal amount i could stomach/live with.

I would be ok with it. not super excied but not upset. Adding anything to that would move me rapidly toward happy/excited.

Simmons/Curry/thybule/1st (with no mills) would be a great return.

its as good/better then what we gave up for harden.

Simmons > Allen
Curry > Levert
Thybule/1st = 3 firsts
3 swaps < no swaps

And those swaps are pretty much a lock not to happen if we have youth like Simmons/Thybule to protect us from sucking long term

Good riddance to James Harden, you will not be missed. You quit on a second team; this damn league needs more people like KD/Lebron/Giannis but to many of them are soft and a bunch of you know what. I fully support Giannis now in his beef with Harden. Pathetic and disgraceful. Let the youngin' shine while you go wasting opportunity after opportunity to win gold. You will blow it in Philly.

Good deal for Brooklyn. I like it. Nets still have the two best players in Durant/Irving.

We kept Patty Mills, Bruce, Claxton and added Seth Curry, Drummond to improve depth and Simmons.

Awesome.

That’s a tough pill to swallow for Brooklyn. Getting back Thybulle would have been a big win with Simmons

Well it happened.
Hope they aren’t done but eh. Gotta win now. Gotta prove it was him.
