Why would the team risk Simmons back on a series they are going to lose?

That would make sense but Simmons had the balls to practice and go speak to media before Game 3 but ducking Game 4 because we’re now down 0-3? That is corny and I’m losing my respect already for him.

Even Deron Williams had more balls than that.

Playing hurt, especially with a back injury, doesnt make you "ballsy" it makes you an idiot.

Look were playing with a bad hammy got Harden
Look where playing with a bad knee got KD

dude is 25 and the future of this team. if he isnt 1000% he shouldnt play. he probably shouldnt play even if he is healthy. give him a full offseason with the team.

Ben Simmons ain't the future of anybody's team. Maybe Melbourne United, but come on lol.

I don't have an issue with the team not playing him for one single game, but the fact that he told the team he was good and now suddenly isn't means that the dude is bullsh*tting.

If he wants to retire, by all means go for it.

You want this guy as the future of your team? Yikes.

Dudes also 26 going in to his 7th year. He’s not really a kid anymore.

Backs are tricky. You dont want to mess around if there is any setback. There is no reason to doubt it. Even if its false, its a non issue to me. He is either hurt and you keep him out or he doesnt want to be here and like harden you move him.

the first is a reasonable thing, you do the smart thing with his body

the second is on nash as he could have rerouted him, and on him to fix

Even if you define it that way, he’s still not the caliber of player you hitch your future to. But hey, good for the Sixers.

Sure you do. Getting high end talent is really difficult. when you get it, you try and make it work and pivot if/when it doesn't. he doesnt need to be a top 2 player for at least the next 2 years, he just needs to be a 3rd guy and role player/defender. so we have 2 year to evaluate that.

That would put us into his walk year, conveniently.

No one is relying on him. That is why you let it play out. you have the luxury of evaluating what he will provide.

Kyrie + Ben

This is what I was scared of. Now we got both. Welp let's see.

Don't get it twisted. I'll take Ben if he's an issue over $60m Harden any day.

He wants to be a star on a sorry team. If he got traded to the Kings of Magic he would’ve played. He truly is pathetic. Hopefully Marks can fleece some team and try and build a more balanced roster.
