That was straight up disappointing after such a promising start.

I'd given up on a title for this season from a month back and nothing changes now, we just aren't competitive as currently built. 1) we need about 3-4 more wings and 2) we need a better coaching staff.

But I'd say getting some wings is more important, can't really function in the modern NBA if your team is either mostly too small or too slow to stop the opponent getting a good shot whenever they want (The Lakers have the exact same issue). The fact we are even .500 is a testament to what a carry job KD has done.

Kd doesn't have a spine unfortunately when it comes to Kyrie. It's an odd dynamic they have where whatever Kyrie says goes. The minute he wasn't going to get vaxxed was the minute they should've traded him. Harden looks rejuvenated all of a sudden and Kyrie is still hoping that the mandate gets overturned. The nets can't sign him to another contract and they need to grow a set of balls and let it be known that players don't run front offices, look at how Miami operates, Riley told Lebron that the Heat work a certain way and you won't get any special privileges. It pissed Bron off but he got 2 rings out of it and it was the most structured place he has ever played in.

Unfortunately the Nets don't have the gravitas in the organisation that Miami or Riley does to pull that off.

The only real why the Nets got KD and Kyrie was because it is a player friendly organisation that lets the head inmates run the asylum. Remember the "we don't need a coach" comments as soon as they'd signed.

Worst season of basketball I've ever watch in my life. Or in any sport actually.

I hate watching this team. I hate seeing us lose winnable games.

I hate that Kyrie/Simmons won't play.

I hate this stupid coaching stuff.

Its been a miserable experience. Worse than the Deron Williams days. At least back then we had a reason to suck.

I kept waiting for the turning point since on paper we had a lot of names, this lasted until about the time Harden wanted out, the holes are just too apparent to hide now. This is pretty much the same team as the one that started this season.

How many easy shots did we get KD today? Any layups? Open 3s? Transition dunks? Everything was hard fought and a struggle, just like it has been all season.

The Nets season relies on a mandate being reversed and a player who is such a pussy about shooting the basketball it gives him anxiety to play the game. Not looking good at all tbh and it's looking like Kd will have to play major minutes just to even be competitive in games.
