Injuries:

Depressed is an understatement. We get to watch the other Martin twin embarass KD for the 2nd time in 3 games. Hornets will put our 8 seed hopes to bed with this one.

We struggled vs the hornets with harden when we were healthy and winning the past 2 seasons. not sure how we beat them sucking with simmons out still.

KD going for 35 doesnt matter. we have shown time and time again we can lose with him playing great.

how many more losses before nash can be fired. thats all i care about at this point...

but to go through the motions:
-Abuse plumlee. switched on durant or having to fight drummond we should dominate that matchup
-dont rely on LMA to carry you with kyrie/durant out
-find a way to get curry open shots. it shouldnt be hard with 2 megastars on the floor
-dont let bridges disrupt us. use screens to get him off ball. dont let him get out in transition
-dont rely on johnson to play PG

This is a must win game not just for seeding but for morale. I think the Nets will win by 5-10pts.

I get it but you guys are overreacting to the Celtics loss. Even with all the flaws and lack of chemistry, the Nets almost won in Boston, who are the best team in the NBA over the last 10-20 game btw, with Tatum having the best game of his entire career.

They're all important games from here on out. This one happens to be a trap game.

From the Simmons news to unusually early injury reports, it feels like our team has on eye on Thursday's game against Philly already. That feeling, plus the fact that Charlotte has looked great against us recently, means that this is a trap game.

The Hornets are a mediocre team, built different. They press and manufacture steals, but they actually don't defend all that well, especially on the interior. Instead, they run and gun, make or miss.

We need our stars to deliver crisp, penetrating passes to our centers, WITHOUT turning over the ball and igniting their fast break. That will force their defense to rotate and either lead to massive points in the paint, or open up great looks for our shooters.

If we play ISO hero ball against a set defense for 48 minutes, even a defense as flawed as Charlotte's, we will lose. We don't have the energy or defensive acumen to neutralize their transition offense.
Some people really have a way with words. Other people... not... have... way.

Forget the boston game... did we not just blow a 17 point lead, at home, to a heat team missing 3 starters. who just played the night before against the bucks?

Hornets are going to win this wire to wire unless KD/Kyrie combine for 80

This is no trap game. its the most important game left on our schedule. last game vs the hornet w/ kyrie in a series they lead 2-0. we lose this the tiebreaker is gone and next game vs them is no kyrie.

if we lose this game, the hornets pick up not 1 but 2 games on us, since they also clinch the tiebreaker.

if that isnt the message from the coaching/team, then we have a bigger problem, which we already knew, since you know "all that matters is improvement"

We should blow these Hornets out. There is no excuse to lose this game.

This game is vital for the standings vs the Philly game which is not important other than being a media hit.

like milwaukee it will take a superhuman star effort just to come down to the wire and have a chance
anything short of 80 combined for kyre/kd and we lose in a blowout

Be confident. Kyrie & KD should be enough to beat the Hornets.

I have no faith in this team whatsoever. Cocky and stupid is a recipes for disaster, which this team is.

I watched Det vs ATL last night and actually was more impressed the way Cassey has those guys playing. Cohesiveness, set plays and actual coaching got me depressed.

This is team is trash.

They should have been enough to beat a trailblazers team missing Lillard and McCollum too, but thats not how it turned out.

Nash and our coaching staff is a lock -10 to -15. which means you need to get an extra 15 from your stars to win. i need 75-80 from kyrie/kd for us to have a CHANCE to win.

Casey is a former coach of the year. id love him here. but we would rather pass on a legit qualified black head coach for an inexperienced white dude because him and the GM are buddies

Good start to the game. Much easier to get good ball movement vs the terrible Hornets defense. Hopefully the bench brings it this game. Hope Blake and Kessler get some mins.

Thankfully this Martin guy isn't as sharp against us as he was was last week when Nets played the Heat
