Good. The Nets need this element -- an experienced supporting guy with size who can play D, rebound and plays with an edge.

If he takes our last roster spot who will be our backup Center?

We currently have a log jam at SG:

Irving/O'Neale/Curry/Thomas.

I don't want to lose an all time great shooter, but it may make sense to see if we can acquire another big by moving Seth.

i think i'd sooner trade Cam - even if they trade Seth there aren't minutes for him, and specifically the type of heavy usage/inefficient minutes.

there were supposedly a few teams with FRP's on the table for him, whether they can be third teams or have anyone that fits, i think that's the move.

I mean O'Neale can also play the 3 and Curry can play the 1.

I'm not even sure Mills should be in the rotation tbh.

With that being said, I'm not opposed to trading Seth if we can get a good stretch 5.

I'm thinking that the SF rotation will be Harris/Warren/Edwards.

We needed a tough guy amongst all the softies we have. He will get down and dirty and not afraid to take a suspension lol..

yea we should see what we can get for Curry, Harris, Cam.. see what offers are out there and decide with that. Now that we have Harris back and Patty, we don't really need Seph but I much rather Seth than Patty. I would let go of Cam if we get a good offer, can never have enough shooting and Cam is a guy that needs the ball in his hands and he won't have it with the big 3 here now. But then again you never know what to expect from these 3 guys so we actually might need a shot creator lol man idk how this season is going to turn out but it shall be entertaining.

Will he get James Johnson treatment ? I'd rather get Baynes who has size and respectable 3pt shot.

You guys sure you’re not thinking of Marcus Morris?

Markieff Morris is a bad rebounder, a weak defender, and a mediocre shooter. This is such a meh signing, and will likely be a nothing addition, since he’ll barely see the court.

He’s also not a dirty player at all, since he’s not like his brother. So you’re not really adding much “nasty” either.

He's not a weak defender at all, but I will concede that his brother is a better shooter/rebounder.

Baynes still has to show that he can still play at a high level, the dude went through hell over the last two years.

Nets are hoping Morris can replicate what he did in the bubble. He can play as a small ball 5 or PF depending on the lineup and is a strong body who can defend bigger players and not be a total liability on a switch.

Surrounding him with shooters, wings and dynamic offensive weapons is the ideal fit for him in a small bench role.

I love what the roster looks like. Nets going all in with pace, spacing and switchability. With lots of flexibility to make a trade during the season to fill in whatever gaps that may appear.

So happy the team isn't looking at a traditional big like Howard or Whiteside etc.

I don't agree that he's not a good rebounder -- in his 2 seasons with the Lakers (i.e. the 2 seasons prior to last season), he averaged 8.0 and 8.1 rebounds per 36 min, and his career average is 7.5 rebounds per 36 min.

I also don't agree that he doesn't have nasty -- he put a pretty cheap shot on Jokic last year, which led to Jokic retailiating and Morris getting injured.

This is a fantastic roster on paper.

BUT....a lot will come down to coaching. How are these new assistants going to help Nash? Because last year was absolutely unprofessional and Marks/Nash are lucky to still even be here at this point. KD was wrong for what he did, but I think Nash and Marks should both be canned if this doesn't work.

Not at all. Dude doesn't even love basketball

The Nets should be surrounding KD, Kyrie and Ben with high character guys.

You guys should have signed Whiteside, but don't worry we will
