GT NYK vs Nets

Post#1 » by CalamityX12 » Thu Nov 10, 2022 2:28 am

End of 3rd by this post...

We need to be a point guard driven offense

KD is doing it all himself with very little reward.

Team ball got us this lead, get back to it

Knicks clamped us in the third, gotta adjust in the fourth: They need to move the ball again.

Joe’s inconsistent shooting is starting to scare me.

On the flip side, very encouraging performance from Seth.

Fellas idk these last couple games since trash nash been gone. We're playing harder n actually defense. I think we should still be thinking championship run. Only teams we have to worry about is cavs, bucks, n celtics

Good first W for coach Vaughn since he went official.

No real complaints, the lineups are still being finetuned but largely make sense, he's calling timeouts when they should be called and most importantly the guys are locked in and playing hard.

Good to see Seth get going again, and Ben is looking like he's making progress even if its baby steps.

Definitely seeing some of Ben's explosiveness starting to come back.

Our defense is really picking up. We've been limiting our opponents to below 90 (on average), sincr Vaughn took over.

What i saw tonight from Seth, Ben and Vaughn was encouraging

I think KD likes this. He has his own team now.

This was a great great team win. Knicks are the definition of Mid and we're so much better than them even without Kyrie, we spanked them. It's like a whole new team without Nash, guys are really buying in and bringing the energy. I'm very optimistic with the way we been playing lately. Vaugh is a pretty good defensive head coach and his rotations are miles better than Nash.

Ben looked alot better and more aggressive out there, I can tell he's still trying to get his legs under him but this game gives me hope. Sumner is a legit role player, he should be getting minutes even when Kyrie gets back. He plays defense and can break down the offense and get in the lane to make nice dump off passes. Seph finally got his rhythm back, hope he can make those 3s on a consistent basis. Joe Harris is still finding his stroke but he made some other nice plays and he gives effort.

This was a nice team effort. The ball was flowing so nicely and kyrie MUST buy in to that, we can't allow him to make us stagnant and take them long contested fadeway 2s he likes to do. We need to continue to play hot potato with the ball because Kyrie dribbles too much and guys just stand around waiting for him to make a ridiculous highlight shot that he sometimes make. Kyrie must adapt and buy in to what we're doing now, no ifs ands or buts about it. Keep hope alive !

yea we're looking good running the offense thru KD, he's looking like Luka-esque with his triple doubles lol.. The only thing with running the offense thru KD is he sometimes gets careless with his passes and his cross court passes end up a turnover but he's looking very much improved in that area. Kyrie must buy in when/if he comes back.

I think we're actually much better on D without Kyrie, Sumner's length makes a difference

Clax and Royce have been beasting on D, and KD leading by example by taking the tough individual assignments has been huge.

KDs been operating at MVP level ever since Nash's firing. I do worry about his health though give how much he's putting in at both ends

Imagine, Knicks game thread reached only 68 pages before it was closed , this guys thought they got us in our moment of weakness and invite us to clown us , instead they clowned themselves 3 minutes into the game , the rest was history, crying sobbing and teeth grinding

Sumner was impressive, imagine this guy never saw a daylight under Nash

Agree. Emphasise defense and rebounding, and on offense it goes through KD no ifs and buts.

As long as Kyrie buys into that he will make us a more formidable team. I think he will since this is really his last chance, if he **** it up he probably doesn't get another NBA contract next season

Sumner being the starting PG is growing on me. Agree on the length and his defensive chops, he just needs to improve on his 3pt%.

Another underrated part is our passing. It just flows so much better.

While Cam is commendable in being a backup PG, my only complain is he still tends to miss open shooters. There were a lot of instances where Seth is wide open, but Cam decides to go the other way.

Cams tunnel vision does need to improved upon but overall I think he's still a positive since his offensive creation is something we just don't have without Kyrie out there.

Defensive consistency is where I'd like to see him focus on since if he's playing consistent D with being Cam on offense that's a good player.
